Those pots will not have enough drainage for a proper drip system. They will hold some water in. fyi.

Try to brace the underside of the middle of the lid. After lights hit's it for a while it may cave inward. fyi

If you are running recirculating drip, then there would not be any waterlevel, you should install drain back to the res...If you are pumping from res using a dwc set-up to supply your drip system, then there is no need for the drip...
the dwc will more than supply your plants, but the drain is still a nice option to have every week when you have to changeout nutes, Imho...

Ohhh fuck....

Snoop, I can tell you, from my experience, that latewood is a couple hundred miles OFF Newbie Island...

You disagreed with his advice, kind of 'roughly', then he called you an ass... then the shit already was hitting the fan.

Why doesn't every body chill the fuck out?

There's a thousand million different ways to grow this plant, people have to make up their minds... they've got to decide if they're going to grow crap weed, or genetics weed... are they going to grow with a reptile lamp, or are they going to buy a 600W HPS...

Latewood's way, or Snoop's way...

WTF??? Just spread it out for everyone to read and he will decide what the hell he wants to do.

Now, without further addo, I'm going to go Snipe some people, hopefully in Relic...

I gave him sound advice...and I don't believe you grew drip that blew away DWC...you mean it doesn't make sense to 'you'

No I didnt grow a drip that blew DWC away,,,I did what this guy is asking about..I put a drip line in a DWC...I always here motherfuckers saying this has no effect...So when I started out I ran 2 bubblers and one drip line w/o airstones..11 plants same strain..and 1 week in..heres what they looked like..
The roots are guided to the solution qucker w/ a drip.

well, I agree that adding a drip is cool, but I still think it is overkill in dwc...I have done all that you are talking about...built all the systems...and Imho, it is believed that roots are drawn out when waterlevel is lower, (what you said)
Now with that said, If you drip on them constantly. they don't have to find the nutrients, and they don't grow as strong a root structure. I am not saying that your system is wrong, because I use the same thing in 2 different designs...one with a submersible, and the other with a 600gph centrifugal pump...

Now, I think we will all get along alot better if you tone it down a little when criticizing someone, and I won't cuss you out...Deal?

drip system in a DWC setup is fine, that's basic of KBS growing but with many twists. You need a lot more room to hold water; the top bucket needs plenty of side and bottom room. Example: A 5-gallon bucket filled with lava rocks to hold big trees and a 20-gallon res to catch the run off and make the DWC where you put the air stones. There is a shit load of room for air and oxygen and the roots don't touch the water level for a long time. Next the water does not sit in the catch res. There is a cretin level on the side of the tub that returns the water back to the res so the catch res always has fresh nutrients plus the air stones providing oxygen as well as plenty of bubbles to pop on the roots too.

It's like a DWC on steroids even Barry Bonds would be proud of. This picture is a KBS at week 4 of flower from a few years ago.

Latewood is by no means a newbie he is a very respected member of this forum and should be treated with respect. White Snoop you are the new person here and that’s no way to make friends.

I understand about bad days so I hope going forward will be better days for you.

Meangreeneye420 please do some readin before you get lazy and just ask. If you get lazy now then I'm pretty sure you won't be able to handle a hydro system. Go read a lot of the FAQ's on the overgrow.com website. But no you don't need "hydro seeds" there's no such thing. Goodluck buddy <3

Oh and BTW, I wrote that post not in a mean tone but a happy one.

Latewood knows his shit and if there is anyone that gets an attitude when someone else has a nother idea for you stay away from that person. a picture is worth a 1000 words.

Pretty looking plants mobay. How many lights and watts of those cfl's? I'd be Interested to see a bud harvest. I am growing the same variety. I'm trying different methods of growing, hydro and dirt.

Could you explain the drip/fogger system. What type of fogger do you have? Is that the fogger nozzle from the irrigation department? How's it working? Are you dripping below the container lid?

If you read the sticky at the top of the page...Madman goes aero..I built that and all you would do for drip, is to take lines going to sprinklers and 'remove'
sprinklers...then 'clip lines with 90's attached/turned down, to netpots..simple

and, there is really no such thing as Hydro seeds...trying to find them would be the analogy of 'Snipe hunting'...although, there is actually, such thing as a 'Snipe'...
Some strains are better in Hydro than others, but I haven't found one good strain of 'Genetics' yet, that didn't grow well in hydro I promise.

To grow trees will cost you 6,000 to 10,000 for the equipment. Depending on the size you have to grow. Each plant is given 6 sqft of floor space or more and you need a min of 8' ceilings 10' is better.

The experience level is above 90% of the people growing today. Its a full time job growing at that level and you need money to start and maintain the grow.

You can build a closet grow or a room grow for only 4 plants but that will still cost you about 6k for the parts and equipment. Even 4 trees will need at least 6k worth of HPS and 2k worth of MH light and the power to run them.

12-20 ton AC system to keep them cool, CO² generator, fogger for humidity, dehumidifier if it gets to high. Over sized exhaust and scrubber to clean the air. High volume chillers to keep the water res cold at all times. Very large air pumps (and they don’t use air stones) the air pipe that is used cost 22.00 a foot but it worth the money if you are growing KBS style. No clog and millions of bubbles.

Water filter system for the feed line and to make RO water. You will use about 50 gallons a week.

Nutrients well to start the setup cost over a grand and even up to 1500 for everything.

Controllers for the environment is about a grand each and you need 2 of them. In fact you need to double most of the equipment so you can have a veg room and a flower room or your total time is over 120 day's between crops. You can take the time down to 90 day cycles if you have a veg room, flower room, mother area and clone area.

Guess you need the whole house while you are at it or a very large warehouse.

All it takes is money.

I saw a video on UrbanGrower.com the other day, it was this dude, aka BubbleMan...

He said:
There's two kinds of growers... those that need forklifts, and those that don't.

I just found it funny ... I'll be getting some of them BubbleBags soon...
