why hydro set up???

ok guys this is my 1st post for a couple of years , i have grown in the past just using soil and regular feeds from garden stores. i have had good results but i now want to get a hydero system and don't really know which one to get. i will buy one as i can't be bothered making one ( plus i cam well afford it anyway) i am looking for a system that is the easiest to use but also gives me a good return for my work. so do i need a nft , dripper, ebb and flow. areo , or passive. thx for any help. i have my lights sorted , i have 2x1000 hps and 2 x 1000 mh for vegging

Hello friend,

With those lights, and the money to spend, I would suggest one of Zandor's setups...

Or maybe two of those...

try the easy way first.
get some 5 gallon buckets
some hydroton
they sell net pots that fit perfectly over the bucket i think like 9 or ten inch.
get air pump and airstone 1 for each bucket
ph/ec/ppm tester
thermometer\hygrometer
fans
gh bloom and gh micro for nutes and youll be cool for 1st time
once you see how fast they grow in water you will be amazed
after that you can upgrade

I'm very new to hydroponics but for the small scale personal use grow I'll be doing, my homemade setup was the perfect answer. For the size of your grow I'd recommend whatever system is lowest in maintenance and that will operate without attention for the longest. Make sure you read up well on the draw backs of certain systems. You don't want everything to die because a pump failure went unnoticed for a few days. Anyway someone else might be able to point you in the right direction as I'm still an amateur. Good luck and make sure you post a grow journal on the site.

This forum hasn't been "turned soft"...

Your question, to be quite honest, is a nOOb question... nothing wrong with being a noob, because I'm one... but dude, c'mon! Get real...

There's no such thing as ....

Fine... easiest to use? Use friendowl's adivce:::

I'm sorry if this reply is a little infused with anger, but it gives me the rage when people come piss on my house, on my friends, and on our advice.

Best,
