Don't buy sunlight sheds products

Been there done that. These caddies are NOT designed to grow weed. Their customer service is awfull. Don't waste your money like I did...

I love my sunlight shed

sorry to hear you had shitty luck with yours, but I have a caddy I bought about 3 months ago and it kicks ass. I love everything about it, and I'm planning on buying a cool cab next week.

Just my experience and 2 cents though

Sunlight Sheds - Customer Service

I agree - do not buy from SUNLIGHT SHEDS!!! They have many units and they may work out for you as they do for some but the CUSTOMER SERVICE is horrible. I bought the PC Planter (2 plant hydro system) at a cost of almost $700.00 w/ship and it is nothing but a tiny (8" wide cabinet) with a light and two fans! The unit came in damaged and now I have to shell out the bucks to ship it back or keep the damn thing and replace the broken parts myself. Not a good deal.

I bought from them because they advertise phone assistance but when you call they are rude and refer you back to the useless instructions they send with the unit.

There is not one person I can find anywhere that has had any success with this particular (PC Planter) system! If any of you have had success let me know.

Exercise dollar votes and vote them out!

Fuck Sunlight Sheds. Go With Homegrown!!

I say go with the Homegrown Hydroponics system:

http://homegrown-hydroponics.com/growcabinets.html

Their customer service is really good. I spoke to some dude at 3am for over an hour before purchasing from them. I even called back several times after the unit was bought and paid for, and they STILL took the time to answer my questions, and had 0 attitude.

I considered the Sunlight Sheds Cool Cab, but the Homegrown Hydroponics systems smoked them in price and build quality! My friend and I both own Homegrown Hydroponics systems, and I am super happy with mine!

I'll be buying a Medium or Super Jumbo from them within the next month or two. The guy said he'll hook me up w/ a discount plus some freebees for being a return customer! Dang, I would have bought from them anyway!

I bought the Coolcab and i'm doing pretty friggin good with it. I personally love my unit, and have no complaints. I'm not sure about the homegrown hydroponics since i've never bought anything from them, but i remember when i first went to their site along time ago before I ordered they had pictures from sunlightsheds.com on there. I called sunlight sheds and they showed me proof they had stolen the pics and are in the process of suing them, but thats just what i was shown/told.

the sheds are great for growing in. i have the cool cab the big one and i grew my big bud in it. now if you go and buy the mini cab and you have seeds that yield over 150g you will have a problem. hippie select the seeds that stay short when flowering and you will love the cab.

Hi Smokerchick

I'm new to all of this and I was alos thinking of getting the COLL CAB from Sunlight Sheds. I have read meny post and searched all over the place.... I keep comming back to their products. I must confess that I am totally new to this and will need a lot of help I'm sure.

Anyway from one chick to another... it would be nice to hear from more members on their success with turnkey grow type systems.

Thanks everyone

Update

Well I've been having some great success. Honestly, the only thing I screwed up was when I went on vacation for a week, and when I came back my reservoir was dry and my plants pushed the adjustable reflector sideways from overgrowth. On the plus side my plants didn't die, they were a little hurting, but overall good. As long as you follow the directions and aren't too abusive you should literally be able to watch the grass grow. I mean holy shit did they grow way faster than I expected. Anyways, just my experience =)~

thanks

the girls did most of the work. if you are thinking about getting one of these sheds here is the problems i have had. i had a big problem with the temp in my res being in the 80's ended up putting frozen 20 oz gatorade bottles in to keep the temp down also leave the doors cracked open while the light is on to help with box temp this might be due to where it is located it is in my living room i have a thread in hydro called total newbie needs help with pics i am planning on moving it to a cooler room in my house for my next grow to help with temps. other than that its a pain to empty and change out the res but my brother in law who is a total "fish man" thinks that i can use a python (what he uses to drain all of his aquariums) will simplify the process waiting to try that on my next res change. otherwise i can't complain check the ppm and ph every day and next grow i'm going to flower earlier so that i won't have the problem i have now. hope this helps.

Maybe think about a water bed pump for the res change, they are electric and generaly under $20.
How is the quality build of the cab? I read all the threads on these cabs on their web sight about 3 months ago and have found that allot of people have problems with the heat, and that is funny especially when their big bost about these is that they are sapposed to be the "Cool Cab", but what can you do. Glad you are making the most out of it.
Adieu

thnx for the idea

Thank BB, i will look into that
as for the cab...after getting it and reading info on site i wish i had found this site before i purchased it. y'all have a lot of great ideas
if i had it to do again i realize that i could have gotten the outer shell at any place that sells metal cabinets with a top shelf. with a drill and the proper attachments could attach a small flouro on the top shelf for cloning made the 4 holes for the exhaust fans. for the bottom two holes there are 6" duct fans i think i would go with a bigger fan to help with the heat i have notice that since the lower fans dont have a protective covering that when i close the doors some of the lower stems end up going into the fan i'm currently looking for some covers might just use some old stockings to prevent the leaves being eaten by the blades. it is a good idea but honestly if your capable of purchasing the items and doing it yourself i would suggest it not to mention that it could be built for the area that you have available to you for a lot less $$$.
im not saying that its bad, and i did kind of go into this blind, my husband became lic in colo and i talked to some of the guys i know who do soil and then some research for most efficient in small space and came across the cab so i jumped in with both feet. but other than heat changing res and now the leaf eating fans i cant complain. live and learn something these girls are teaching me everyday.
wow now ive written a mini book.
thnxs agian for the res change idea

For fan covers, maybe some pantyhose, or perhaps that is what you ment.
Well keep a trucking little lady.

Thumbs down My Opinion

Hi Watto420

I'm going to tell you to save your money.
The unit in the link you provided is worth maybe $150 for all the parts.

And I really don't think an 16 to 18inch tall computer case is a good place to
grow anything.

I think you would money ahead to go to a secondhand store and buy an old
cabinet or enclosed end table and build your own.

There is a lot of information to be found here on building your own and I believe you will be happier, and surely money ahead.

Just My Opinion

Disregard

Please disregard my last post here.
It is an answer to a post that was removed, and probably the user.
