That is a layer of vermiculite on top to prevent algae growth; under that is medium sized perlite...I'll have to post some better pics later. Soon, I will place them into a DWC system, which is in the process of being developed and created. I've got two growing: one named garth, the other wayne. Hopefully, the names will not influence their sex... The seeds are just bagseed from some nugget i had. They are under a 1400(or so) lumen cfl at night, and daylight for the day. I try to keep around a 18/6 cycle....
They will probably go to Mh soon when they go into their final (DWC) homes.

I am thinking about topping for this grow...so, basically, you just pinch off the top growth? And what internode should I do it at, i hear 3 and 5 is good?

One last thing...any suggestions for a humic or fulvic acid product?
and do you need to run organic to use the fulvic acids?

Here they are getting some light therapy. They really enjoy it! I still haven't given them much of any nutrients, but they'll get them once I have situated them in a bucket setup. I was thinking about feeding through a drip system; Apparently, there are 4 plant drip assemblies for pretty cheap... I'll have to go check it out. Look for a follow-up in about a week.
(any tips appreciated...as they say: the wise man learns from his mistakes, and the wiser man learns from the mistakes of others)
