VEG to budding

im sure its been covered before but cant find any threads.
ive got a 3 month old thats ready to start budding.
wats the process to go from veg to budding?
wats the go with taking shade leaves off during the budding process, does it acheive much?
ive heard its a good idea to flush it for a week with no nutrients?
and is ther anything i need to do with the light cycle? or can i just change it to 12/12 one day lol.

alos how long can i expect the flowering period to be (roughly)?

cheers, any advice would be appreciated.

Some people flush for a week some for a couple days. I personnaly flush for a day or two and then switch to bloom nutes. Some people reccomend to gradually scale back the light to 12/12 other jump straight into it. i just leave the light off for 24hrs and then go to 12/12. The flowering period, depending on the strain can be anywhere from 55 days to a lot longer. A good rule of thumb is to wait an extra week after you think it is done. Or just go by the trichs, but that requires a microscope. Oh and def do not take off all the fan leaves. Fan leaves store the nutrients that will be used in bud production later, thats why they die off towards the end of the flowering period. Most growers take off only the ones that are severly shading the bud sites. Just my 2 cents. Good luck bro...remember the plant will double in size during flowering.....

Try going to the FAQ section under the cultivation section, its the top link.
are you at 24/0 or 18/6. if you wanna you can change it to 12/12 by losing an hour everyday till you hit 12.
What kind of nutes are you using?
are you going hydro or soil?
some clip off the fan leaves that get in the way, others LST. I personally dont like to take off leaves, cuz then you stress the plant and make it heal the wound. always bend the plant over to expose lower growth to light.
Flushing is not nessessary, until final week or 2 of flower.
50-70 days for flowering period.

Put the lights on 12/12, normally it takes about 8 weeks, but a long flowering sativa can take AGES, up to 14 weeks.

I hope you got enough room, it looks very tall.

Dont take any leaves off. It'll slow the plant grwoth down cos it'll shock it, and the plants needs them to make energy

it is too late to do anything but go to 12/12 photoperiod...c'mon guys...he is already 3 months old...

It is going to take a long time to finish that baby...

It looks like your light is too far away form the top of plant canopy.

you have the basic Idea...

next time lights go out...set timer to 12/12. Flush with ph'd water for the week, then start on bloom nutrient program...goodluck

ALRIGHT, then

make sure no light get's to them during dark photoperiod, and you will be alright...watch out for 'high' temp's...keep them in the 70's...they like that...goodluck lw
