Don't think about going hydro. Just do it. You can thank me later.
Quantity, quality and growth speed WILL be amplified.

I have no experience with aqua farms but they are probably a good place to start. You could always whip something up yourself too.

Locnar loves his drip systems. I think it sounds simple and effective. I'm sure he will show up and post in regards to this. Go on Loc, I know you want to.

NFT - sounds a little full on for a first attempt. Try rigging up a little DWC setup or a hand watered bucket system for a first test grow. This will allow you to dial in nutrient requirements and better gauge hydro from start to finish.

Flood - I've heard that the hydroton balls tend to float. And if something goes wrong you will flood and drain your grow room.

Keep in mind my hydro experience is very limited. You might want to wait for some professional opinions.

What's up elcheapo ?, you must know I don't have a job at the moment. LOL I just answered in his other thread, yes I love my drip, just change nutrients and PH. Do what elcheapo says and make a few bubbler (DWC) buckets to start with. A couple air stones to fit in the bucket and a dual air pump from wally world or fish pet store and your off and going. You can build most things cheapper than buying. Yeild will be as big as the lights you have on them. Check out some of latewood's madman post on making systems. It looks hard on the outside but it's not when you get things toghether. Most expence is PH meter, EC, or TDS meter and lights. Nutrients but they last awhile, just don't go over board on add on nutrients. Once you go hydro you won't go back.

Didn't know you were in between jobs Loc. Just knew from your previous posts about your affection towards a drip system.
I am in love with your current grow though. Very nice!
Where is Gen these days?

I guess he's been laying back or busy. He is still here. I will get some more pic's today later right before the light comes on. I'll use something better than rule of thumb. LOL. You can't get a pic with the sun in your face. But it does light up nice for close up macro of trichomes.
