gotta agree you need hydroton ! beter still is to root on it using an aerponic cloner straight into hydroton.and if useing rock wool the smaller the better that way the roots will get into that lovely arlita and get plenty oxgen
be sure not to let the rock wool become soaked or it could rot those roots |

THANKS! im looking for all the comment's i can get!
but for the light issue im using lid's on my net pots and the lid's are over sized so not much chance of light geting in there i think the only way light is geting in is from my thin white bucket's for the hydroton im trying to keep supplys to a minium and just plain simple (im trying to teach a few friends that soil is not the only way and im trying to get them set up as simple as i can...personaly i have never had a MJ plant live more than a few weeks in soil) and the wet wool..it stays moist from the humidity from my splashing bubbles in the water and i dont overfill my buckets i try to leave a few inchs of air so they can breathe THANKS AGAIN please leave me more i wana learn as much as i can from as many people as i can if u want more pics of my room lemmie know P.S how does everyone feel about CO2? use it or lose it? isnt it a pain to make your room so controled for air flow and saturation of CO2? |

Someone already said it but tou should lightproof those containers. It can be easily done with a layer or two of duct-tape. I can see the roots through the tubs in your pictures even so it's probably a "good idea", as Martha would say. This just helps eliminate the growth of algae and other bad things that require light to thrive.
