too much oxygen?!?!
could it be possible that the roots of my plants r receiving too much oxygen?
i ask because last grow i had no airstone, this grow i have an airstone under each plant. and im geting some strange growth lol or could this be somthing else? i thought it was a lamp/heat issue, so i moved the lamp further away and put a fan on the plants, but this didnt help at all. the plants are also growing more wide than up lol, they havnt really grown up much at all.... is this normal? ive only ever had problems with them growing up too fast, not too slow... these plants r 20 days old from germination. been in the hydro for bout 15 days. im using a 600watt HPS any ideas?

the airstones is the only difference in the grow setup, i thought it could be ph fluctuation?
i figured the more oxygen to the roots the better... i turned the airstones off yesterday and the plants seem to be doing a lil better...but yeah lol any advice would be good

there appears to be something wrong dont really see any new growth on that plant at all, all i see is a few fan leaves what happened to the top of that plant looks like it got topped or something, does all your plants look like that?
dont really think it would have anything to do with the air stones.

The dark green is something to watch, most of the time it's a good thing. But there are times when it's not; it's sometime it's a nutrient problem.

yeah the plants were topped just yesterday lol.
i did just change nutrients and am feeding them 1/4 strength atm. i dont have a ppm meter so i cant tell u wat its at. as soon as i have some available funds ill get one as im sure itl help lol. i figured it would have somthing to do with nutrients but have never seen any of my plants grow like this. so thought id check it out. ill see how they look tonight wen i get home. they might just be adjusting to the new nutrients? cheers

definately not the airstome
could be problem with EC ,,,,but not aparently so looking at the tips of the leaves gives no indication of over ferts,,,, what about the ph?? a high PH may have this affect on the plant, as at the higher range of ph the plants cant convert the nitrogen efficiently and lighteneing or darkening of the leaves and stunted growth are the results,,,,, check out your PH range and maintain between 5,5 and 5,7 . you may need to try and restabalize the ph in the arlita, so comply bytrying a more acid sollution for a few days,,,,at a ph of like 5.5. but get a digital PH and EC meter! as soon as possible,, a hydro grower without the equipment is like a camel without a hump!.... catch ya good luck..

Ah you just croped them. It will take them about 2-3 weeks to recover totaly. Bump up your nutrients to 1/2 strength because you just stress them and they need to recover.
What nutrients are you feeding them.

i tested the phe today and it was stupidly high lol.
got t back down to 5.5ish. i use 'optimum' brand nutes. pat r pretty neglected. have been working too much again  i spose i can spare 15 minutes of my day for the lil ladies lol

I got a TDS tester from SUNSTONE HERBALS for a dam good price.It was a thread I read here about a low cost test supplys conpany{TDS tester }.It was only $15.95 plus shipping and I got it in 4 days.A Hanna TDS1 .You need a good PH & TDS tester if you are doing hydro.I use them and right now I'am growing in soil.One Q what water are you useing ? Tap ,well ,r/o ,distilled. I pick up distilled water at wally world and test the PH .It's alway 6.0 PH all the time.WWW.SUNSTONEHERBALS.COM Great prices.I will be starting a hydro grow in a couple months and will post here on how it goes. That's my Story And I"am sticking to it

i just use tap water but i let it sit for 24 hours. aparently this gets rid of some nasties in it?
im too poor to buy water lol im an apprentice. also why i dont have the correct meters.

plants seem to be recovering well.
im still unsure wats causing the leaves to curl up cause the light isnt close, its not hot, and theyre not being underwatered lol. any ideas?
