Question Quick lighting question.

Hey everyone ive been growing for a bit now and i use cfl lights and they seem to work great for me so i was thinkin about upgrading to a 430 watt hps son agro light. So wich bringsme to my question...if i do get the 430 watt hps light does this light cover the whole grow like veg and flower or do i have to switch lights to cover different light specrtums?

You can use the hps all the way through both stages but a mh is better for veggie and hps is better for flowering, u can get conversion bulbs or u can use a ballast that has both.... its really just money at this point. i just use an 400wtt hps. Im a 2nd time grower and its not worth the money just yet. newbies probably wouldnt realize the difference

Well im 4 weeks into a new grow right now same setup as before, im at about ,let me find my tapemeasure, jsut under a foot an a half, i would def. say it would be bigger if it were under a mh bulb but i dont have the money to throw into a new bulb just yet, so i cant really expirement. This i feel is a dedication type question, Its like aero or drip, they both work ones better tho. I think the real question is in the quality and not quantity, how much better will ur buddies be with a mh bulb in veggie. Its jsut a question of how much more u will grow i think. W/ lights regarding mh in veggie.

a son t agro can be used for both flowering and grow, however the flowering only lamps give off a better spectrum for flower , mh are very strong and produce a lot of lumens! for growth only, i prefere to stick top cfl for grow and clones, its a little ,,alot less agresive, i want a slow growth for my sytem not long spaced internodes and branches, and then to an HPS greenpower flowering lamp! for max flowering.
the other reason i would stay with the cfl for growing is the running cost of an HPS or MH lamp for 18 hrs a day compared to the cost of cfl!, i stick all my HPS lamps to the 12 x 12.however if you want to grow big plants then go for two bulbs or just stick to the son t agro
