Looks like they're coming along ok to me. By the time you can tell the sex, they may be hard to separate out because the root systems are going to be tangled a bit I'm sure.

I'd have kept with the MH because it's more blue spectrum light which is what you want for vegetating plants. You may find them stretching under the HPS.

Note: I'm new to hydro, you're a bit farther along than I am, so take with a grain of salt

they look fine, with seedlings alot of the time if you see some abnormal looking plants, its not to worry, sometimes the worst looking seedlings make the best plants weeks later! just be patient and keep up the good work

Not paranoid are you? For seedlings they look fine--I'm assuming that 3 weeks from germination, not 3 weeks straight growing since put in there right?
3 weeks from birth---good 3 weeks growing in hydro (maybe another week as a seedling somewhere, then they should be bigger.

I see from your dated pics (nice job there!)a difference of about 12 days. You say you just started feeding them today? What have you been giving them, just plain water or something else? Also are you guys checking the ph of your solution?

no we did not feed them as seedlings at all, took your advice from earlier post (latewood) at waitied and feel it was right to do. They r three weeks old from birth in last picture and still doing good today and growing fast. We have them under a 400 watt m/h for now and will flower them under 400 watt h.p.s..We fed them the g.h. three part feeding program and seen the difference in days of health of plants.
We hope to in another couple of weeks to force to flower and take clones and start up right with all females for next grow. We r also looking to get two 600 watt lights for next grow to add to program. We check ph everyday and adjust as needed.
THE BIG QUESTION??????????????????????
How much should we expect to yield from a plant like this, we hope to be able to yield a pound from total of 4 plants so we can get a pound per tub as we have four plant in each tub???? Is this possible??

Jamie & Stacie.

p.s. not too bad for two crazy chicks so far?????

Your doing fine. You need to take 2 clones from each and label them before changing to 12/12. You have a good plan. take 2 cuttings from each and root them. By the time they root...sex should've shown on plants in flower. Keep the fem's and throw out the males. Veg the fems once they have 4 nodes for 2 weeks then flower. Make sense...good! later.peace latewood

Yes we have been reading alot about cloning lately and have gotten the tools and goodies to make a cloning tub we seen linked here somewhere and got a pump from a old outside garden pond and went to homedepot and got all the pvc pipe and now just trying to find the spray nozzles if anyone can tell us where we can get some and link us to it ,, it would be great.
We still have alot of reading to do on cloning , but if you can give us a LINK to your best advice "latewood" it would maybe help us in this matter. AND man these plants has really taken off in last couple of days CAN'T WAIT ???

Jamie & Stacie............ just two crazy chicks with no date and nothing to do.................but find ur own fun and grow.............

p.s. any link to "SPRAY NOZZLES"

You can get a good deal of whatever you could possibly need at bghydro.com.
Check the FAQ section for the thread by Zandor on cloning.

I'm using 18 on, 6 off for 2 reasons.
1) in nature there is some darkness.
2) it saves me a little wee bit of electricity.

18 - 6 will definitely keep them in vegetative state until you are ready for 12-12.

Your plants are about one set of leaves older than mine. I'm only growing 2 though.

Here's another update on our Plants, they r now close to 1 1/2 months old or so and we decided to force flowering to see sex and get it rolling on our first grow to see where it takes us. MAN this has been fun , alot of work , but fun.. hopefully with good results. So today we fed them for blooming needs and switched light to H.P.S. 400 watts. and will switch to 12 on and 12 off today.

Pictures takened today. 12-02-06

They're growing tall fast, overall fast it seems to me
I took a few pics of my plants which are actually about the same age as yours, but stunted when they were tiny because I put them in the system before they were really ready I think. Plus before I had my meter, I'd no idea my ph was super high. (See how the first serated leaves are whacked?)

Theres nothing to really scale them by, but the tub is 10 gallon, and the width of the fattest "fingers" are about 2 inches.

I'm only using old flouro tubes right now, keeping the light literally about 2 millimeters from the leaves. I think thats why they're keeping such tight node spacing and good early branch growth.

ps: my camera is ancient and I'm no photog. I had to photoshop them just to make them look that "good" lmao

Zandor has an aero cloning thread in the growfaqs, and I think it explains how-to: cuttings, also. I have 3-4 different cloning experiments. bubble cloning, aero cloning, and straight into hydroton/bubbler. I will look for them. good idea. But I have to tell you, I have gone largely back to rockwool...I found it soooo easy. That is a personal preference. I found it more work, not less work after I started cloning with a machine; Especially since I wasn't going to root more than 4-8 cuttings each time.
Another note on pumps in rez...Heat. the pump runs continuously...At least on mine and Zandor's set-ups, and that creates heat in the rez. If you build a tub aero cloner. You need a big rez with "lots" of water to dissipate the heat..Got me?

More water=cooler rez for longer period of time. Good ideas all around. I will get back to you when I can find my threads.
