The purple strains out there are changing darasticaly. I just got areoponic purple urkle and grape crush.... not to much purple noticeable on the buds because of the connisure cut but can definatly taste it. Hmmmm?? Good genetics

And orange crush definatly high lol

I have a problem with insomnia as well Atkeni. While visiting my friend over the holidays he let me try some White Rose he had recently grown. I don't think I've ever found a strain that helps quell the insomnia better for me. The best part was that it gave me a pleasant stone that made me feel drowsy but still able to function if need be. It might be a strain you'd be interested in trying as it is supposedly 100% indica. He said he ordered the seeds from the Rhinoseeds company. A quick google search should give you a link to their site. I hope this information was helpful.

Also, consider growing one of, or all of,those indica strains that LIP listed until the later ripening stages of the plant. This will cause a sleepier body stone, as there is more CBD (Cannabidiol). Maybe try shooting for around 25% amber trichomes.

Also, consider listening to the people here who have higher post counts... it does matter in a way. These are people who have been around for quite awhile, and therefore have been around the information surrounding cannabis for quite some time. Though I'm not trying to generalize, it is true that those like LIP do have some credibility in this issue. I, myself, would definitely listen to them over someone with 28 posts. (no offense to those with low post counts)

What really gets me pissed off, is when people give advice on the simple basics - such as strains and STILL get it wrong! BASICS! grandaddy purp does it for me everytime and it only takes a little bit im talking a small amount like .3 to the face, or .5 between you and a friend, but OG Purple Kush also does the trick after a nice feeling in the cerebral that travels throughout the body, you hit the bed like a baby

Aurora Indica, Black Domina, Legends Ultimate Indica, Afghani #1, Maple Leaf Indica are all great strains for sleep disorders...LUI and Black Domina probably the best but also a bit expensive

best strain for my insomina is White Widow. it's a 60/40 hybrid, and it works perfect. for me, the sativa side of it relaxes all the muscles in the body, while the indica half goes straight to the head with a heavy, sleepy feeling.

I've tried Jack Herer, and every time I smoke it, I end up passing the fuck out. Sometimes it takes like 3-4 hours, but always, I pass out. For a few hours. This could be shortly after waking up even. Herer knocks you the hell out.

jack definitely does not help me with sleeping. If I smoke after midnite I can be assured of staying up until at least 4am. I do make some great music during those hours though.

I also agree about the white widow. I always have an energy drink when I smoke it to counter act. Not the most social strain. I run out of things to say real fast with the WW. Jack is pretty fun.

Hey there,

My suggestion would be northern lights. I know it's been said before in this thread, but i really REALLY enjoy it. I've just harvested some and it's great. It's very potent and after it's all said and done i'm snoring before i hit the pillow, if i even make it to the bedroom!

I googled Mandala Seed and they do not ship to the US. I am
interested in good seeds at good prices. I am looking for a very
stony indica that would be helpful with my sleep problem and
pain. We have 3 unknown plants in bud now. One very odd one.
The seeds were bought online and were a mix bag so to speak.
One of the plants has some big leaves which I feel could cause
a problem for light to get in. What is the rule of thumb. I have
heard that "less" is better and you should never trim after bud.
Around here you can get clones of some varieties. Most are
$10 sexed and 1ft tall. I am looking for medical strains ie/
indicas or indica/sativa mix. I had good results with Silver
Haze, White Rhino, Northern Lights. These I have not found
in clone form. At $125/10seeds....$12.50 each. I suppose I
had better get tips for starting from seed as I may not find
the clones I need and want. I would appreciate any input on
really good medical strains. I have heard a lot about PPP,
White Widow and of course Chronic. I have 4 AK's in veg
which we got for $30 sexed and 1ft tall. I have yet to find
seeds cheap online. The $ exchange is so messed up...TY.

Dude AK is where its at. Sure its 50/50 but I think it works great to help with sleep.
