the thing is i have a plant growing and the buds have formed but there are mostly white hairs and a few singe hairs. but some buds are more singe than others.

was wodering if anyone can give me a rough estimate on how long i should leave them under the light or should i pluck them as the white hairs will turn brown whilst drying?

please give me some advice!

A lot of times some buds will mature faster than other buds on a plant so it's really hard to say harvest when the hairs change color, you need to get more into it and get a microscope to see the trichomes so that you know when it is truly ready to harvest. You can get one at any radioshack for like $12.....

On another note, you can pluck buds as it matures but you also have to take into consideration for best taste you need to also flush the plants before you harvest the buds....If it really bothers ya that much you could always wait for the buds at the top to mature more and let the bottom buds do a little catching up, then you'll most likely have 2 phenotypes off one plant! You could have your main colas be your "couch lock" and the bottoms buds be more of a trippy/uplifting high.

Also, how long have you been flowering them and is it indica, sativa, or a hybrid of both? These factors can also help determine roughly the time your plants should be in flower before they are ready to harvest!

the smell is amazing, and i have been flushing them, expectin to pick on saturday, took a bud of today as it was frazzled by the light. As one plant is HUGE so had to be snipped off, the bud looks wonderful and is very sticky.

they have been in flowering for a while in there 10th week, the room there in is quite restricted and i only have one 600 HPS bulb in there so they have taken time to mature and fatten out. so i think it should be about time. but di shall definately buy a microscope to check the trichomes out as the bottom of plant is not quite as mature as the top kolas. as i like the idea of two different types of buzz from the lady herself
