FIRST TIME GROW ! URGENT HELP NEEDED PLEASE !

Hi guys/girls I am currently into day 26 of veg of my first ever grow. The strain is supposedly Lemon Haze the plant is being grown under 150W HPS, grown in soil in a 3/4 gallon container on a 18/6 light cycle. I only fed the plant 1/4 strength nutes for the second week then moved onto full strength 4 days ago. The past 12 days I have noticed that some of my leaves are curling inward on the leaf edges, this issue is really troubling me. (I really don't think this problem is caused by nutes but I might be completely wrong lol) I have been reading for the past 4 days trying to suss out this problem but to no avail. I am hoping an expert grower could take a look at my pictures below and come up with some sort of help/guidance/info to help me with this matter as it is really bothering me and I don't want all my efforts go to waste, I have seen a lot of awesome advice from members of this forum and peoples problem have been solved so im hoping you can do the same to me. I understand I am a new grower and have a lot to learn but I guess I have to start somewhere, I never normally ask for help on things, but this time I really need it. Please can you take 5mins to have a look at these pictures and see if you can find the solution to this problem. If I have missed anything out of my description please inform me and I will sort it out. All help will be treated as positive. Thank You in advance. Much appreciated.

To me it looks like your plant is going through transpiration. (trying to get rid of moisture).

    Possible problems:

Light is too close (optimal distance is 18 inches from tops).
    Room temperature is above 80F.
The fans blowing too much air.

Too much wind for prolonged periods can start to dry out the leaves. The first stage is for the plant to reduce surface area and that requires they curl. If heat is involved they curl up because the stomatas are on the bottom and that's where plants sweat (transpire) the most from. If they were to curl down they would block the stomatas and hinder their ability to transpire and cause them to dry out faster. Eventually the leaf will die unless steps are taken. It's also a good bet that if one leaf is affected more are too. Your pictures show this. Raise your light and reduce the direct air contact and see if it helps.

Other than that, your plant looks very healthy.

It is not a nute problem.

Dude thank you so much for the reply, that is a great bit of info you have given me there, I was thinking in the back of my mind that my oscillating fan was blowing far too much but never really thought that this was the cause but after reading your post it really does make sense, I will follow your advice and move the light a few inches higher and put the fan on the lowest setting, do you think if I say do 3 hours with the fan on and 3 hours off and then repeat this process do you think that would help of should I just use the lowest setting on the fan.

Back your lights off, they are crisping. Keep a fan to circulate air and beef up the plants a bit. Don't be shocked if those leaves fall off and you start back up with fresh new growth at the top and a bumpy stick at the bottom.

Hi guys an update on whats going on, the leaves that had the curl survived and (nearly) repaired themselves after I got a much smaller fan and replaced the big old thing lol. Anyway SHE is now 7 days into on 12/12 of flowering and good things are happening at a serious rate of knots, I will post picture tomorrow when she is awake. Have a look at her please and tell me what you thing. So glad I found this help because if i didnt she would surely have been killed by my huge wind turbines lmao. Thanks again. PEACE OUT 8D

Did you balance the pH of the nutrients before you watered? And do you check your fresh water pH, mine comes out of the RO filter at around 8.0 and needs to be lowered to 6.5 with pH down.

Dude this thread is months olds. I corrected the problem, it wasnt due to PH problems it was due to like somebody says above....too much fan/wind blowing on the plants. Cheers for the reply though.

I am also going to be doing autoflower strains in june/july, from what I have read and been told Hindu Kush autos and AK autos are supposed to be good so think im going to be doing both of them. Can I ask, are you a current grower or are you just starting up like me ?

Hi Sonicx no that isnt a stupid question at all, auto-flowering are just strains of cannabis that do not need any dark period at all, so that means leaving the lights on for 24hours a day and just feed when needed as usual. Alot of auto-flowering strains only take up to eight week from seed to harvest....awesome eh BUT there is a but lol....the yield is significantly low compared to a "normal" cannabis plant. I hope I have explained it properly and you
can understand it because I am as high as a motherf@$k£r while typing this haha. Peace out dude.
