    LED First Grow. Accapulco Gold

    Hi Everybody.

First timer here jumping into a recorded journal one-month into Operation: "Hurry The Hell Up, Green Stuff, so I can have some green stuff."

So, there's nothing real special going on in my tent, other than the AMAZING LED that's in there. I'm proud of it, because I seem to have picked the right one out of the cornucopia on the web. I think it is mainly to do for the voracious plant within.

This is Curly, and she's one-month from seed. Nice light, right?

    It's from Hydro Grow.

Two things that set them apart for me were:

    1. Whenever their technology advances and their lights are overhauled with the newest cutting edge tech, they make that piece of tech available so you can install it yourself, if you want.

This stuff gets upgraded almost like computers do.

    2. Something about the lenses. I've forgot now haha. All I know is lenses make light better, and this case is no different. Each light has a little convex lense sticking out about half-an-inch. I think it's working...

    Good luck, guy!

Looking good there. Can you give us some pictures of the light itself too ?

I think your plant is stretching a little bit too much. Its good to keep the light as close as you can without bleaching it.

Try to keep the nodes (distance between the sets of leaves on the stem) at about an inch. this will keep the plant short and bushy with plenty of areas where bud will develop.

If they get too tall with large areas between the nodes the harvest will be affected as there is too much empty space. Also the shorter the plant the better the light can penetrate to the

lower branches. I had trouble with this in my last grow. Firstly, the grow tent was overcrowded and the plants started to fight for the light, this meant lots of stretching over each other.

Two of the strongest plants took over the room and I lost the other 6, I had to kill them off. This grow I will only have 4 plants in the room. This should be perfect.

So anyway, good grow, but keep an eye on the node lengths and you should be fine.

I'll be dropping by to see how things go. Good to see a fellow LED grower

    Take Care

I called the light guy about spacing after I had it pretty close (around 6-7" from top) and it had just started to bleach and leave little white dots on a few leaves. I keep it around 9-10"

away now that it's all mature and lovely. Lower nodes are 2-3" apart, but the newer growth up top is way closer. It IS mostly Sativa.

Anyways, all this trial and error will give the clones-to-be the best chance of me not murdering them.

    Gonna start leeching today!

Not to thread jack or anything, just adding my 2 cents on LED.

I got my light from Hydroponics Hut for €300 ($350). It's the Pro-Grow 260 (190w) and it is truly a beast at both vegging and also blooming.

I am on my second grow now with 4 plants. You should check my 4 ladies out after 4 weeks. They look very different to yours. Mine are super bushy.

Just a tip if you decide to invest in another light sometime. My friend just bought the Pro- Grow 400 and it is a demon !!! Unreal growing power !

These babies are worth a look, and they have a 3 year warranty with free postage to Europe from the U.S. !

    It's not you.
    It's the LEDs!
Get a small cfl for your cuttings.
Until they pop roots, the LEDs are simply too strong for cuttings.
They try to transpire and, of course, fail without roots.

    What did you expect?
    It's Ledgal, aka Cammie.

Far as I know Cammie still has outstanding warrants from her Nightrider-7 automobile scams.
The whole site is BS from top to bottom.

    Fer instance:
?Sorry, no results found for 'Patent Application #61366861.'. Try entering fewer or broader query terms."
"Sorry, no results found for 'Hydro Grow'. Try entering fewer or broader query terms."

General rule; When a site wants payment in cashier's check or money order, run from them.
Really hope he has no warranty problems.
Cammie dropped a dime on one of her customers over a shipping error.
Called his local sheriff and told them he was growing weed.
Fortunately he was in compliance at the time.
Sheriff said they were more interested in the party that lodged the complaint.

I would not share any information with that company.
    It is not safe.

    2 cents.

After two cloning sessions, I have one kick ass clone. Getting a larger light soon to support more.

The first round of clones I took were from the lower branches- they all grew no roots.

Then I took two cuttings from the upper shutes- a weekish later, roots poppin out the bottom. I CFL'd all the clones.

Gonna switch the lights tonight. Mom is gettin' CFL, and clone is getting LED and 18/6 instead of 24hr, which is what it's been on the past 10ish days.

I built that cloner out of a garbage can! Threw in some distilled water and nutes + Rhizotonic for the new roots. PPM was around 180 and PH was 6 (I have the cheap color test kit for now). Good deal PH meter? Anyone get those ones on ebay from China?

    Back in Black!

    Big Update!

So, wound up throwing the big bushy momma into flower on the 9th- so today is day 10 of flower.

    She's got the 21X Pro + two 24 watt, 2280 lumen CFLs

I just did some screen maintenance, so all the tops look like hell. Also, there's a screen now haha

    Day 34ish

Starting to get snowy. VERY EXCITE!

Need some knowledge! Does it matter if I mount the carbon filter on the exhaust portion of my ducting, or does it have to go Filter->Inline->Ducting?

    Looking good there dude...

The plants seem to be strong flowerers...

With regard to the carbon filter, most filters don't mind what way the air goes through it.

The good thing about blowing the air into to means that the pressure is even inside the filter and it lasts longer then if you suck air through it.

Sucking air through it can sometimes make the carbon filter wear out faster closest to the extractor fan as the suction/air pressure is greatest there. I read that somewhere... maybe I'm wrong...

After 7 or 8 months of using my can9000 I decided to wrap some duct tape around the area closest to the extractor so the higher pressure would move up the filter.

I think it is working a little better now. The damn humidity was interfering with my filter over the past 2 months or so... Moisture in the air make it work less efficient.

Take care dude and keep up the good work !

I spread all the buds out towards the edges of the tent a little while ago since they were getting too tall still. I'm pretty happy I did, cuz the LED is in the middle, and it brought up two

bud sites out of the foliage. This little Hydro Grow light grows buds off the smallest growth. I think the really pink one is the one that just came out of nowhere.
