ok if my trichmones appear to be white in color and the trichmones on my pistals look like tiny little hairs .......and my pistol tips are turned red is it ready?

It sounds as though your plants may be ready, but the best way to tell is to buy a 30X jewelers loop. You can get them for relatively cheap online.

With a loop you will be able to see the individual glands and tell if they are infact clear, cloudy, or amber.

Most people I know like to harvest when the trichomes are around 50-60% cloudy, and a minimal amount having turned amber.

However, different strokes for different folks. Some people like more/less clear/cloudy/amber.
