Help. What do I do?

Well I have attached two pictures of a NWW female ( The only one that survived/was a female ) that I took last night. Some of the branches are really low and I was curious if I needed to get rid of some. Does it take away from the budding on the top if there is a lot of shit on the bottom half of the plant. I guess just check it out. Tell me what you think. do I need to prun?

And anything else that you think I should do to it would be helpful also. It just seems like if the plant is using its energy to support the lower branches, that can't be good. I need an expert

Post If it were me.

I'd chop that sucker down agood ways since it's just starting to bud, then move the light down REAL close. I think you'll have good results. It don't hurt my plant ONE BIT. to prune them, in fact, I have been experimenting with pruning Vs. not pruning. You just got to use ur own judgement, become one with the plant danel-son. LOL!

Hope that helps

What do you mean "chop that sucker down". And it burns the top if I lower the light. its a 360 HPS light. I actually think its too close now but we can't go any higher until we get the sunset systems light.

i think kram was saying to cut the top half off, then move the light closer to the lower branches. you then could take clones from the top half if you go that way. it does look a bit tall for indoor; did it strech a lot or something?

Trim out your lower leaves. Your thought about the plant putting energy into bottom growth that will not bud out with that particular light set up is correct. You also need to trim some of the larger fan leaves to get more light into the interior of the plant.

If you want to radically "top" the plant, wait until after harvestimg the bud, take some clones and you will have a trimmed plant that will regenerate very very bushy with a lot more bud sites.

I am not sure what you mean by trim out your lower leaves. Do I cut some of the branches at an angle and get rid of them? or cut leaves off? And by trimming the fan leaves, do you mean just cut the leaves down?

Thumbs up

this is just my suggestion! take your plant and train the braches, somehow tie em to grow horizontal, trellace, stakes, what have you, tie them so as to get light to the budding sites.
if you can, ben the top and tie down for horizontal growth, that way nothing has to be cut off, and you will have plenty of budding sites.
i think this will work.
no chopping or cutting needed.
any questions on this, just ask.

yes notanovice is right, tieing it down would be a good idea. either way it's too tall.

I went ahead and tied it down and it is now facing horizontally. The top is at least. I also got rid of a lot of the lower leaves/branches except the biggests branches on the bottom.
