weird question but how much do u guys pay per kWh?

i believe tha average cost is 9cents...but that doesnt really matter per se, b/c electric companys charge by ur peak not ur total...so i u average bout $40 a month, and jus one time for like 30 min or something u hit a big spike, which put it at like we'll say $60, u will b charged $60 even tho it was jus for that brief moment, even if turn ur power off for the rest of the time....so try to run the lights when nothin else is runnin, and u shouldnt have to much of a big jump in ur electity cost...

mine is only 4.6 cents...i got 2x 42w cfls and 2x26w cfls running 18 hours a day....thats like $20 a month?

welp - thats 136W x 18 hours = 2.448 KWh/day

2.5 KWh x 4.6c/kwh = about .10 cents a day to run the lights... Nice! Even 1000 watts would be under $1.00 a day...

So your lights are ~ 3.00 a month to run, + whatever the base service fee is.. not too shabby

Where I used to live in cali it peaked at about .37 a KWH.. ridiculous

My current rate is .04816, so just under 5c a KWH, about the same as yours
