    is 4000w noticeable?

I was thinking of renting a house that an aquaintance has sitting. He cant find renters or buyers, the economy is bad here. Rent would be near 1000/mo and id need the house for about 4?? months. I want to do 4000 watts and a soil grow in the basement. Being stealth about it would be tough because I don't live there. I could act like i'm doing improvements to the property however. Rent and lights would cost me some money so i'm wondering if this would still be a profitable venture.

Im thinkin about strains like Jack Herer, Canadian Maple leaf or maybe white widow. I'm looking for something that is definitely better than "regs" but is still a good yielder.

I could model myself after big soil grows that are pictured on this site, but I'm worried that I could throw all this money in and end up with CRAP weed or small buds and end up owing money.

if you use 4000 watts like you say then you dont have to worry about small buds, and if your going to use those strains you mentioned then you dont have to worry bout mids or crap weed. but the 4000w will cost you some money, and it will be very tough to make it "stealth"

You need to know how to grow.

Its hard enuff nursing three or four plants thru life, much less a grow operation the size you are talking about.

By some of your questions, I would tend to the belief you are not yet experienced enuff to undertake such a massive opperation.

4K watts of light is huge and will produce large huge buds that are fat and ripe and you can sell dime bags all year long and make a killing.

The question...are you capable of pulling off that large of a grow?

You can certainly pull it off stealth if you invest enuff.

But beware...the penalties for doing this are far greater than having jsut a couple of plants. Its scary enuff selling the stuff I would assume...

Of course you could do this and make huge profits if you are capable of a large, say 30 plant grow and you veg long enuff.

thanks for the advice, what im worried about is the 4000w being on the meter. How much wattage does it take before it starts to look like someone is possibly growing marijuana? I can show up there to shovel snow, mow the lawn, and rake leaves and do other maintenance every other day or something...giving a good excuse to be there.

If you are only running 4K Watts or so and not living there, not sleeping, watching TV and lights thruout the house all the time, it should appear as a steady normal household bill.

The only thing that I would be concerned about, it the timers.

Going from nothing to full blown power usage at the exact same times everyday . every night...could be suspect.

But then, I dont think your electric company sits and monitors what time your lights go on.

If you kept it to minimal, the other items that use electricity, you;ll be fine.

4000 watts in a house you are not living in wont be noticed.if you are there every other day it will appear to neighbors you live there which is good.figure you will need an investment of 3 grand for materials.1000 a month in rent plus 300 or so a month in bills.say over 4 months that is an estimate of 10 grand!!got it ??1 grow 4000 watts expect to have 15 to 20 grand in product.and if you are new to growing more like 10 to 12 grand of product.worth it?????my 2 cents

You stated you was 13 in another thread. I do not see
anyone renting a house to a 13 year old.

    4000 watts of what, CFL's, Hps's & MH's just what are you
talking about when you say 4000 watt grow?

LOL being stealth about it.....I really wonder what the neighbors
would think of a 13 year old kid coming in and out of a house a
few times a week by himself.
"Yeah, I know. I'm guilty. I understand that. I knew it was a crime, and I did it anyways. Shit, why argue? I'm a fucking criminal, look at me."

nonsmoker420 has a point..... i have the cash to start out with, but its a load of risk for a small profit if i'm renting. I'll keep my dayjob for now. thanks everyone for the advice.
