How do I stop it from smelling? I'm going to be growing it in an attic.

Well, the most effective way to cover to odor(especially in the case of a very large grow) is to have a carbon filter attached to you air exhaust vent. However, if you're only going to be growing a plant or two you shouldn't have too much problem with smell.
