Thread: duel light fixture, how do you wire it to an outlet?

hi im getting this dual light socket Westinghouse-22259-Cluster-Socket- its for 1 or 2 plants ill be putting in 2 cfl 42 watt bulbs. but the problem is i dont know what to do with the 2 wires? how can i connect them to an outlet?

I would get a 2 wire extension cord and cut the end off that has the female end on it, so you end up with a pigtail that has the male end on it. Just strip both the wires on the cord and attach them to wires on the socket. I would use wire nuts and wrap them with electrical tape for security. On lighting it doesn't matter which wire goes where.
