Hello,
I am a medicinal user/refugee from the Advanced Nutrients forums LOL.

I can not believe their mods failed to do their job and keep the site running according to the rules put in place by the AN management. There was a notice on the home page stating why they closed.

I'm looking forward to making new friends here @ the cannabis.com forums.

Hey there duke. What sites were you speaking of man?? I'm sending off an email to Michelle Rainey to see if she knows where everyone is going to re-settle in mass.

This place seems cool so far, but it would be nice to find out where everyone went.

i've kinda been on the hunt for some of the guys, becuase when it comes down to it. NO other forum consists of the quality of growing as ours did, it was pretty much the unspoken motto "do it all the way, or dont bother". im already tired of looking at kids growing seeds in cups in a cupboard with a CF hangin above it.. not to say that there arent alot of amazing growers around here.. its just i dont have the time to weed through all the BS thats here also.

hey guys glad to see you all, i stopped by ICmag and it seems like some of the guys are getting bashed over there...I hope we can get back some of the info from AN sever though, a world of info was lost due to the shut down. Now all i have are a bunch of dead links ......hmm next time i should print over save the pages. Never know what will happen in this game of ours.... but if haper keeps up we are going to be in for a rough ride ahead.

I just got off of the phone with Shawn, President of MondoPro (AN's Distribution Arm), and first of all, I'M GOING TO THE ADVANCED NUTES PARTY IN SAN FRANCISCO NEXT WEEKEND!! WOOOOOHOOOOO I am soo psyched! Finally, I'll get to meet some of these guys that I've been talking to at AN for years now. I'm also getting passes to the Hydro Expo to see all the newest gear from all the maunfacturers. I can't wait!

Secondly, Shawn told me that their website guy is already working through the AN Medical Forum and is, apparently, seperating out the "questionable" info and will relaunch with a new "legit" site in the not too distant future. He said, very uncommitingly, in about a month or so.

However, there WILL BE a second site launched that . . . shall we say . . . will be the "backdoor" site and on the "down low" for the old members (medusers, of course . So, it sounds like the old AN members WILL, indeed, have a home again in the not-too-distant future!

I will be seeing Darkone and Medibud at the party and will try to get them here to help Moderate the AN Medical Forum here (that is if Pistils is cool with that, of course). Shawn told me that many of the AN Medical members ended up at HG*420. So, someone might want to go and post this over there so they can find there way here to meet back up with Darkone and Medibud.

Just thought I'd pop in and shed some much needed good news for our fellow AN Medical brethren!

Although Darkone and Medibud are great growers, it was Darkone and Medibud's job to regulate the posts. Darkone and medi were not interested in deleting any posts written by drug dealers because darkone himself runs grows with more than 10 1000 watt lights.

I actually came across some yahoo on a different forum who thought Advanced Nutrients shutting down the forum was some kind of betrayal. Idiot. I almost typed up a whole post about what really happened but it would've been futile. Guys like that just don't listen.

I moderated for a tiny little forum years ago and damn that was a crappy job. No pay, all work, and you can never keep up with even just a handful of jackasses intent on making trouble. I don't know why anyone even takes the job - though I'm definitely glad some people do. Mods are the hardest working, under-appreciated guys on a forum.


Too bad that thing they did last Sunday hadn't happened yet when I saw that post. If anyone doubted Advanced Nutrient's dedication to supporting medical marijuana they don't have much to stand on anymore. Flying a half-football-field-sized banner with a gorgeous frosty bud on it to protest the hypocrisy of most of the nute companies out there...

Advanced Nutrients is a Mass Marketing Company... that simply happens to sell nutrients at the same time.

Few of their products are worth consideration (voodoo,tarantula) but ALL of it is nothing more than what you can achieve yourself, through MUCH better quality additives and supplements and a little understanding of what is going on...

The very fact that they've started this "Medical Patient Only" product availability, eg. Kushie Kush that is "strain specific" simply shows what kind of people the owners of this company are. Scumbags.
They are constantly bragging that their product is better than anything out there when infact there is no truth to this at all.

Look at the same way MAC attacks PC computers, it's the marketing of scumbags.

I'll never support the way Advanced Nutrients does business, their over marketing and "We are better than all" way of business is shameful.

Even General Hydroponics is comprised of less salts and better quality minerals then Advanced Nutrients.... that should give you some idea.

thats how businesses work buddy, everyone is trying to out do everyone else. If you dont have new product than you become obsolete. I personally think advanced nutrients are a better choice of nutrients, since they have actually been formulated around the cannabis plant. Ive been using AN for years and have recieved the best results through them. Anyone questioning nutrients should stick to AN. So just because it says "the best" you dont buy it? wow what an interesting way to shop!!! Dont let this guy turn you off from AN, they work beautifully! If mac's didnt attack pcs then people wouldnt be buying mac, its the way this economy works.

Unless you put out a product that works. Plenty of nutrient lines are still based on their flagship grow/bloom line.

If you feel AN is superior, that's cool, but Bob was stating an opinion here, supporting it with observations, and then you come in and do nothing but offer OPINIONS of your own, but use them to refute him? Come up with some facts buddy, if you truly believe AN is better.

I'm all about learning about what's out there, but I would love to see WHAT exactly makes AN better than, say, what I'm using, BioBizz.

I do not use AN exclusively, though I use their products for most of my growing needs.

The forum was awesome though, with awesome people. It was small but had only top notch growers that posted. I have a hard time finding a tenth of the quality grows post there, on most sites.

I wanted to get in touch with some of the guys I used to talk with as well. I gave and received more quality genetics there, than I have ever bought from any seed banks.

Sucks that it doesnt seem that many of the old posters are around any more.

Hello old friends! I wondered what happen To the Forum. I was there under another name. But now know that the posts that I made were all seen on the internet. Not sure about this site, but most sites are now showing all our posts under searches and my former username is associated with the real me. So, I will not mention who I was there either.

It was a great forum. I learned so much about growing, made some great trades, and so on.

Glad to see everyone is still around!
