    Greetings from Ontario

    Howdy folks,

31 year old Ontario resident here who's been crawling the board for awhile & decided to join.

I stumbled onto this board through the Definitive Green Dragon post, & have found exceptionally helpful information on these forums since, so I figured it was time to register and say hello

I've always had a passing interest in Cannabis, but came across the forum while trying to figure out how I can help a friend who is 78 years old & suffering from end stage prostate cancer which has spread into his bones and is as a result extremely painful. He's not able to tolerate the pain killers his doctors have given him as they've caused him extreme digestive stress, unmanageable stomach pain, and a long list of unacceptable side effects.

Like many others, he's not willing to smoke anything for reasons that I don't quite understand but I accept this and am determined to find the solution which I believe is contained in this forum. He could certainly get a license for Cannabis, but that process would take time which is something he no longer has.

My thanks to all of you who have posted such extensive information on so many Cannabis topics. I'm new to this and it's incredibly helpful.

    Jeff

    Welcome fellow Ontarian!

If he won't smoke, recommend vaporizing. I used to be a smoker, but now I pretty much only vaporize. I haven't looked back A indica dominant/Full indica will be good for your friend, indica tends to have good pain killing abilities.

Is there any difficulty in finding medicine? Edibles could be another solution

There's a Canadian site that sells bud, oil, honey, edibles, and probly every other option.

I always think of it when there's a post about some poor Canadian suffering through pain.

... but this forum won't let me post links with sellable crap on it and PM is no option.

Many thanks for the replies & private messages I've received. You've all been very helpful & I was able to put together a good tincture for my friend who unfortunately died not long ago from the cancer that started my search & brought me here.

    jeffdp20,
I am so sorry to hear of your friend's demise. The comfort in this, is KNOWING, YOU did as much as you were able to help him, in such a time of need.

We should all be fortunate enough, to have a friend as you, in our aging years of need and disease.

Thank YOU, for coming in and getting the information, that will help you, for years to come. pr
