Ello lads, how's the form?

I'm new round these parts, was pleased to find an Irish board for weed smokers! Pleased to meet ye!

Just moved back to Ireland after four years in England smoking nice weed, and realised a) I have no contacts anymore, and b) chances of finding weed in Ireland are slim to none anyway! Grrr! Was quite surprised to read some of ye manage to find it!

Also read a lot of ye grow, or used to grow, and saw in one thread that some people got busted. Considering starting to grow myself since I don't see any way around it really - but interested in why some of ye did get busted? Did ye let your guard down? Were ye... erm... grassed by someone? Just wondering if you're careful enough and don't have people constantly driving to your door for 5 minute visits is it possible to do it and be fairly comfortable in not being detected?

Golden rule of growing... Tell NO ONE what your at,, and you
will be able to grow away to your hearts content...

I was wondering about this myself,
I know in the U.K they sometimes use some kind of heat seeing cameras on helicopters to pick up the heat from grow lights.
Ive read about in the U.S the power companies will rat you out to the cops if they see something suspicious in your power usage times.
Id love to know what kind of tactics they use over here to actually catch people,I know at least one person who posts here has been caught,but i dont
think they said how.

What a bunch of bs they are going to get a 20,000 FLIR. Mount it to a 1000$ an hour chopper and randomly fly around and then find your heat signal, go to a $judge$ get a warrant, kick the door in only to find a bunch of yuppie's sipping wine in a sauna. Its a scare tactic.

The power thing too, they are not going to turn in there best customers. They like cash. If they did they I would be more inclined too steal power and they know that. I have talked to my buddy at the hydro company about this vary topic, as I wondered my self.

actually they do because some on the east coast of australia got busted for hydro set up because of the chopper..

busting someone by seeing a hot room a 1000ft in the air? I better warn grandma she likes to keep the living room where she sits extra warm. It could be used to add to existing evidence, but I would be impressed if they could start an $$investigation$$ cause they saw a hot room 1000ft in the air

Actually the plants theirselves give off alot of heat in large groups. That is how the grow spots are found outside.

NO ONE!!! take care of light leaks... smell.. and ex girlfriends! but for real. Do NOT TELL no one! Hell, I will not even post a picture on the internet now!! (IF I WERE GROWING). If you have told someone that you are thinking about growing.. say you changed your mind!

I have had much expierence with these so called protectors of society from a young age, a bro 4 years older was always in trouble. They treated my parents like scum as if it was their fault that they had a slightly deranged son....My mam had 7 kids and all of us are upstanding people. Even the mad one eventually grew up. But they use to come in and tear the house apart shouting and screaming. As a result I can have quite an allergic reaction to them. I have had many a stand up row with them with regard to their attitude. It absolutely stinks they have little or no people skills. Give them a uniform and watch them transform to egotistical judgemantal arseholes.....

anyways I notice this thread and me an the m8s were talking about these FLIRs last nite (having a few puffs )there was 4-6 busts in the matter of days and the cops were ment to be driving about in there landrovers with these flirs in them i dont know if theres any truth in it but lots of people have been saying to me about it im starting to get a bit paro. when the choopers are out

The choppers are what to be looking for. The thing to do but is to make sure theres about 1 foot between you roof and the mylar sheeting . You could put some thermal shit init too. Thats leaves a bit of cool air around the grown room.

As far as i know the are only looking for large heat spots on the roof. just a thought.

Altho pigs got themselves a new chopper last week,, but they've better

Mate im turkeying big time. Totaly skint. Havent had a smoke since Friday night about 2.30 am exactly. Its true but. Who do we harm for growing some flipping personal herbs.. Like years ago i tried to grow tomatoes. Went well. but whats the difference.
