Well lads and ladies, I'm Daz and I'm an occasional smoker, not a fully blown stoner yet.

Just wondering if some of ye could give me some friendly advice. Currently I'm in college and have to live on a budget of 50E a week. So, I would really have to be saving for five to six weeks before I could even dream of buying a 50 bag. So, I have decided that I would love to grow my own weed.

Only problem, I don't know what to buy and more importantly, where to buy it. Could someone PLEASE give me some advice on the best way to do so.

depending on where you are living in Ireland you will most likely have a headshop near you, you should get everything you need in one, seeds, lights, soil, fertilizer or a garden centre for some stuff.

but if you can't afford a 50bag chances are you won't be able to afford the tools for indoor growing and if you wanna grow outdoor your gonna need to wait until march/april.

you can do a ghetto grow man. cheap seeds and a cheap flouro to raise them up. it wont ccost you much for electricity .you can always save for a hps light as your growing...

give up that commercial shit for a few months and you wont regret it daz

Just start with a couple of CFLs over few beer cups. Add more CFLs when you can. Ask your power company if they give away CFLs- in the US some companies will give them to you free- don't know if that's the case in Europe.

Look for recycle-able/ cheap things. I hit the Dollar Store and bought waste bins, drilled a couple of holes to make them into nice 1 1/2 gallon pots (6 liter). Yard sale tube fluorescents ($2 including the tubes) are on the back wall of my grow providing needed side light to help plump up those bottom buds. Later I bought rubbermaid tubs as pots (on sale at Walmart for $3). Look in 2nd hand shops, yard sales, Dollar Stores, etc.

It CAN be done without breaking the budget!

well if ur on the cheap car boot sales my freind free adds paper
you can grow under strip lights but cant let them grow over 50m high
perfect for low riders and can be got in hard ware shop new for 2 double strip unit for about 28 to 35euro and would need 2 of them or pick them up at a boot salefor a tenner.
i got my grow lights i did have at a bootsale for 3euro 400w then got another few weeks later for about the same but 600w

well if you look on this site and look at their starter kits you can see what ya can get else where
if ya just got the light, desk fan, pots, soil and seeds ur away for ur basic needs
the thing is u might not get a big harvest 1st time but what ya save on buying more weed is you can put it back into a better system
best advice i can give is a book get one read cover to cover and again
then when ever ur going for a dump take it with ya and sit there reading it
look up the growing guides on the site here

more or less how i started and now i havent had to buy any in a long time
it is very well worth it just dont fecking tell any1 ur growing if ur at a party and some1 ask where ya got it, I got it of some guy. is ur answer

Thanks for the replies everyone, really helpful lads on this forum it seems. Just a question though, if I was to buy some cannabis seeds and just plant them in a random field... What would the final product be?? Also, how many plants would it take to get an ounce?

And also, do the head shops (in particular the one in ellen street Limerick) sell these seeds and if so, would they be helpful in giving advice on how to grow?

They probably wouldn't grow without a greenhouse at this time of the year, even with one it would be difficult. You can get a few ounces yield off one plant, dependso n the strain. Nearly all of the headshops in town sell them.

yea dazza, its too late this year to plant out side. you want to be planting young plants around april for them to finish around october..
get youself a cheap light to start a grow indoors. even a first timer can get 2 ounces off a plant.. do some research on seeds to grow, concider the strains you like, or wheather you want indica or sativa or a hybrid..
