A friend recently went to jail. He had a warrant out for his arrest. He got a 'marijuana' ticket in the state of california. He was eligible to have it fixed if he went to a classroom but he failed to show, thus resulting in a warrant for his arrest.

He got pulled over for something minor but then they found out about his warrant. Now he is in jail to be sentenced this friday. The amount of marijuana was less than a gram. What kind of sentencing can he expect? Will he be set free? a fine or jail time?

Any info would be much appreciated guys.
