    best songs to smoke to

I know there's been topics like this before, but peoples' music interests are always changing.

My favorites are (in no particular order)

    Come Together, the Beatles

    Because, the Beatles

that song in the end credits of Donnie Darko

    Hey Jude, the Beatles

    Flying, the Beatles

that "I like marijuana" song by Country Joe & the Fish

    Tales of Brave Ulysses, Cream

    Blue Condition, Cream

    Wigwam, by Bob Dylan

    Satellite, Elliot Smith

    Miss Misery, Elliot Smith

that "Mad World" song from Donnie Darko

Fire on the Mountain, the Dead

    Dark Star, the Dead

    Loser, the Dead

Shakedown Street, the Dead (first thing I heard when I tripped on acid for the first time, it has a place in my heart)

    Box of Rain, the Dead

    Sugaree, the Dead

    The Eleven, the Dead

    Round Midnight, Thelonious Monk

    Well You Needn't, Thelonious Monk

    Tea For Two, Thelonious Monk

    Orange Lady, Miles Davis

    Feio, Miles Davis

    Little Blue Frog, Miles Davis

My My Hey Hey, Neil Young

    Fly, Nick Drake

    These Days, Nico

(really anything on The Royal Tenenbaums soundtrack)

    Echoes, Floyd

    Bike, Floyd

    See Emily Play, Floyd

Jumping Jack Flash, the Rolling Stones

Let It Bleed, the Rolling Stones

Pale Blue Eyes, the Velvet Underground

Who Loves the Sun, the Velvet Underground

I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, Wilco

Do You Realize, the Flaming Lips

    Bad Days, the Flaming Lips

God damn, that list got kinda long. But those are all on a special playlist marked "For stoning."

Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal?
It's a natural plant that grows in the dirt.
Do you know what's not natural?
80 year old dudes with hard-ons. That's not natural.
But we got pills for that.
We're dedicating all our medical resources to keeping the old guys erect,
but we're putting people in jail for something that grows in the dirt?

    GONE but hopefully not forgotton

I listen to any and everything by Pink Floyd. From the old times, my aunt introduced me to Purple Rain by Prince.
Toxic by Britney Spears if you're into upbeat techno sorta stuff. Listening to the lyrics, you'll find out why you should listen when you're stoned. ^_~

Ben Harper is probably the only artist I like more than Pink Floyd. Awesome soft reggae type. Bob Marley, for the purpose of losing yourself in a world that looks like digital mixed with paint (very ambient), the Katamari Damacy soundtrack is FANTASTIC! ^_ ^

Listening to it now, typing's a bit difficult. ^-^

9 gigs of music here. Mostly all albums, though. Not much pirating. ^_~

Radiohead is probably my favorite band since Pink Floyd. I absolutely love everything they do. I get what you're saying, though, especially with Kid A and Amnesiac... They really create an anxious, depressed mood... But I like being in that kind of mood, so I guess I'm wierd that way
