    Weed + Boxing = ???

I'm a boxer and i've been smoking weed about twice a week for about 8 months or so. My main concern is that the weed is affecting my lungs and I could have better endurance than I do right now. Anyone that has experience with mixing athletics and weed over a long period of time, or anyone that really knows what they're talking about please give me your imput.....

well it doesnt make your lungs stronger for athletics, but it really hasnt impacted me as an athlete and i smoke daily. even as a daily toker, i have an athletes blood pressure, and great stamina. all you need to do is stay active and keep excersizing, and the weed wont affect you as much. all my friends that smoke but dont play sports are in terrible shape, but those stoners that keep active seem just fine. i wouldnt worry about it man.

i used to box but ive been getting lazy lately, how long have you been doing it? i did it for about 3 years.it kinda loses it's thunder after that long but for me it wasnt really the boxing as much as the meditating while i did it,very enlightening, but back to your question, yes it's effected me substanialy when i started(at 12 so i did smoke weed yet)and i could last 6-7 rounds but now 3 is a bitch but then ive also goten alot bigger and take shallow breaths(i usualy do meditation breathing all the time) so maybe it has something to do with oxygen deprevation because of that....but i dout it

Yeah, I know what you are talking about. Play running back for my high school's varsity football team. So, I bought myself a vaporizer. It's way more healthier on the lungs and helps to retain good lung stamina.

I was on the track team in High School, and i ran about 7-10 miles nearly everyday. I was also smoking weed everyother day and drinking heavily on weekends. Just stay fit and you shouldn't have a problem.

The bottom line is, you'll be a better athlete if you train hard and don't smoke, than if you do choose to smoke. Can't really argue with that, it's scientific fact. The act of inhaling any type of smoke into lungs makes them not as efficient.
