you got it right! you on;ly enjoy the effects!!! like chocolate iam addicted to it because i love the taste...it's the exact same thing...if i don't have pot around me i don't necessarily thinkl about it...but as soon as i meet a pusher i buy some! but i only like to be stoned the way it stones me!! some people are not addicted to heroin or coke because they like the effect once in a while, but are aware of the physical withdrawal, so no problem there! with pot theres none of these withdrawal and for adults no real consequences so it's normal to smoke each time we can afford!!

peace out and live high above!

As long as your happy why stop?

The people telling you you have an addiction are the same ones enforcing that anti-pot bullshit.

I think everybodys mind is trained to do shit regularly. If you smoke bud every day and then stop, your mind is gonna be adjusted to the feelin of being under the influence, and a sudden change can seem uncomfortable. it'z all a matter of knowing you don't need to use it...that theres other shit u could be doing instead.
But for now, let me light this joint up.

Try to quit for 2-3 weeks. It's the only way that I could find out, and things were very very boring for the first week and it sucked, but by the second I didnt feel a desire to smoke weed. It was great gettin back on the game though, I was high as hell on practically nothing and it lasted long

Pixel I think I'm going to do that...quit for a few weeks. Because I've wondered if I am addicted, too...and I think this is the way to find out! Plus, like you said, the buzz after a break rocks!

I get the same feeling if I don't have any bud or money. Physically I don't think you can become addicted to marijuana.

I'm bipolar. But I'm generally happy now. I wouldn't consider quitting ever.

can't be physically dependant on weed, there's nothing in it that's addictive (chemically) however, i'd say i'm extremely mentally addicted to weed.

    Mental Addiction.

    Physical addiction is non existant.

Quitting may cause you to experience series of mood swings, depression, hyper sensitivity, short attention spans, sleeping issues, ETC ETC although none of this is medically proven 100%

weed pretty much cures all of that in me, so yea i'm sure, if i stopped using my "medicine" they would come back or "cause them"

ever just wanna bitch slap the govt.? i mean seriously -.- so many people want to do it, not letting laws stand in their way, it's been proven (and obviously accepted to soem extent by the govt.) that it has medicinal properties.. so wtf keep it from us? i'm almost damn positive if all of america was required and did vote on the subject of "keep weed illegal and keep tobacco legal, or legalize weed and illegalize tobacco" mostly everyone would vote for weed, and an extremely high percent of those who voted to switch the rules would be tobacco users, as in 1-2pack a day smokers, including me.

i honestly don't believe it's about anything anymore other then the govt. not wanting to eat their words.. i mean we ALLLL know the govt. sticks lies to us like flies on shit... but if they were to admit it.... it would like "destory their character" (as if they had one)... i wish a woman was in charge.. atleast there is far more less of them that dont' mind eating their words over something so stupid then there are men...

i'll take this one step further

    mood swings
who can have mood swings when you're glued to the couch laughing your ass of about nothing? and when have you ever seen an angry pot head, i mean sure some people do get mad while they're on it.. but shit like alcohol fuels it..

    depression
all i have when on weed is happy thoughts, hence no depression

    hyper sensitivity
not sure exactly what this is, but there are two things on my mind, one of which weed stops, another.. well tha'ts not so bad....
1st one i was thinking, is like having a shitty immune system, but not just for the immune system.. like it makes you more likely to get sick.. which it doesn't i spent a good portion of my life drug-free and was sick like a normal person, the next portion was spent smoking weed almost constantly.. i get sick like once every 1-2years now. 2nd can have it's ups and downs, which is directed to the sense, getting off while on weed is wonderful (touch) food is the most amazing anything, you can be given shit you never liked before on weed and suddenly it's the best tasting thing you've ever had. the only real problem this type poses, is sensitivity to light and sound
    short attention spans
well, i suppose if you didn't know me you would think that this is caused by weed... but i have an extremely short attention span while sober, and have for most of my life, when on weed, i can zone out on whatever i'm doing, thus i have greater concentration, which means it doesn't create short attention spans, rather it enhances it

    sleeping issues
i've had severe insomnia all my life... as some of you may know, it takes me many times the normal dose to go to sleep. while on weed, i don't even need medication to go to sleep, because of the control i have over my high (of course this only to a certain extent) i can control whether my high turns out lazy/slothish or go too much energy i'm running around like a crack head, so that means while under the influence of weed i can relax myself to the point of being able to fall asleep, and stay asleep like a normal person would.

after reading this i'm sure, that someone is goign to ask why i'm putting all this when it says that getting off weed may cause these problems. here's the point.. i've had all these symptoms since well before (5-10) years before i had even ever thought of doing a drug, i mean this early in my life (where even the last of the problems developed which would of been 3 or so years before i ever first smoked) where i thought the first toke would kill me instantly. upon doing weed, ALL of these, and others not listed, were corrected just by smoking weed. so the govt. is ass backwards, they say it can cause these problems when in reality, it only helps get rid/lower them.

i have a theory that marijuana or drugs are taken in by crazy people, or different from norm personalitites. we inherit these "problems" and smoke marijuana at the same time and all of sudden they put it off on the drug. it's not like the government doesn't already label people...why not?

yep! you are right...i will never quit but will never chain smoke the rest of my life... all you got to do while sober is determine where is the level of abuse with MJ...after that just live a happy life without much worry!! not even of getting caught smoking, because if you don't abuse there is no energy against you in nature to make you pay for a reasonable choice...

    addicted: yes.

I am addicted to this shit yall call weed. I realised at the end of the summer and was forced to go to rehab in late sept and just finally go tout last week. I realise i was ADDICTED to weed psycologically(sp???). I had been smoking for about a year, but 7-8 months everyday. I had to smoke weed evernight to feel sane. It was great getting high and all, but when you feel incomplete with out it thats when it is a problem.

I now feel i have passed the point of addiction b/c i know everything about it and can control any smoking. I know longer smoke all the time and do other shit instead. My life earliar was ajoke when everything and everywhere i went was a joke. I realise i was too high before. Am i against weed? HELL NO. I love weed and will prolly never stop smoking it, but when your life revolves around it, and ur addicted(in the mind) then its a problem. I am around weed everyday now and have no urge to pick it up and smoke it all the time. The rate at which u use this substance depends on addiction and how much u can enjoy it.

    btw, weed aint physically addicted.

    -peace
