Thread: Buring my bowls =(

Aight so i just bought a nice bowl, as apposed to smoking joints. And I light the weed and puff, and all is well until i go for the second hit and all the weed on top is black... burnt... I know burning the weed is bad, how can i avoid this and or what don't i know?

burn only the weed on the side of the bowl first. then work ur way around and in.

Word. But man, eventually it will all be black. Doesn't matter, you still get the same effect. Burn it until it's ash and suck that shit through. Bowl smoking is an art that takes time to perfect.

ha ha ha your supposed to burn it, what did you think was going to happen when you put fire to dry plant material, its the burning that produces smoke which gets you high.

well as you can tell I am somewhat new to smoking, but not entirly new.

I always thought that if it was like ... ashy that it wouldn't have the same effect, and that it had to be green, but anyways i guess i was wrong, thanks for all the help.

Gotta say I got a similar problem to dis.

Smoke out of a homemade bong, made out of a vase. I use aluminum from a soda can for my bowl, and I put a small piece of bud in, kept trying to keep it lit and shit but it kept burning the inside aluminum part rather then the bud, hard to explain.

Anyways, can anyone suggest a good alternative for a bowl for homemade bongs? Something household maybe?

I think that I know what you're saying... are you saying that you just burn the top of the MJ, and it doesn't actually produce any smoke? Are you crumbling up your weed? Basically, you should kinda tear up your weed with your fingernails so that it's in these little balls that are somewhat smaller than BB's, and then just pack those little balls into the bowl, if that makes any sense. I'm fucking blazed as hell atm, and my ability to explain things is a bit less-than-stellar.

Mm.. I think I'm going to go make some sausage/egg/cheese/biscuit things.

go to a pet store, and buy a bell that you would hang in a birds cage. tis a prefect bowl

Maybe use a wrench piece or w/e its called, and then take out the insides of a pen and cut off the ends, then stick the wrench piece on the skinniest hole of the pen, if the whole is small enough to use as a pull through your done, but if it isn't just take tin foil, poke holes into it with a toothpick over your thumb(so poke the toothpick through the tin foil, while the tin foil is over your thumb) and stick it in the piece and thats your screen, shoudl work well

whenever the weed on top turns white and ashy, blow it off the top and continue smoking. the weed lights better this way.

i corner my bowls so that more green is retained. i figure the heat burns off all the thc before the bowl is finished if i torch the whole thing. plus green weed tastes better when you hit it

Burning the weed is an essential part of getting high, perhaps the MOST essential. Except for acquiring the weed itself

Go to a hardware section of walmart or somewhere and look for bowl shaped stuff [nothing aluminum, go stronger, its safer too] a GREAT bowl would actually be a alrge thimble, just drill through the top a little. Improvise, home made bong are ment for that
