getting card based on previous prescription, recommendations?

Hey all,
I am going to be moving to the bay area at the end of the month and I am thinking about following a good suggestion I saw previously (on this site i think) that recommended getting a prescription for something that can possibly be treated by MJ in advance of moving out to facilitate the process of getting doctor's approval.

It doesn't seem too hard to get a card especially with doctors who specialize in cannabis prescriptions but it would be cool to just walk in to the canna prescribing doctor with a RX that has my name on it and hardly have to say anything to get approval.

So what I'm asking is - do you have any recommendations for a medical condition or even a specific drug i should try to get a prescription for in my current location that would be easy to get (no tests/few questions from the doctor) that would be ideal for treatment with cannabis?

any suggestions would be appreciated

How about telling us what ailments you currently have and are using cannibis for? Anxiety? Insomnia? Pain Relief? Instead of asking others what your symptoms are and sounding like someone who kinda wants to just make it easy for themselves to abuse the system and get a med card, ask the right questions and im sure you will get some great answers!

What Rob said.

Also, doctor's don't/can't give out prescriptions for marijuana. Only their recommendation of cannabis use.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying so but I wont deny falling into that category.

I don't use cannabis to remove ailments but for the positives it provides on pretty much every level, I guess you could say my ailment is daily life. I guess anxiety and insomnia would both fall under that umbrella so do you think getting a script for something like ambien would be straightforward enough and applicable in getting a cannabis recommendation later?

Thanks correcting me on the situation/verbiage west coast

Well no one else will say it so I will.
You can get a rec if your feet hurt because your shoes are too tight.
Fact of the matter is, the legal protection that the mmj laws in California offer you in my opinion justifies ANYONE for any reason getting a rec, legit or not. Where as the issue is not the ailment, it is the legal penalties for possesing and using it. I believe that the penalties justify anyone getting a rec for any reason, and that's really the way the law was written. Vague as hell on purpose. That is also the problem with the current laws aside from the federal conflict. Cannabis does have a tremendous medical value I think, and anyone that wants to should be able to use it. I also it agree it can have a subtle overall positive impact on anyone that happens to be perfectly healthy, and uses it as well. Those people should not be punished. MMJ laws DO NOT generally acknowledge these people, and these people likely make up a huge overwhelming majority of the total number that use cannabis in the U.S..
If it is legal for EVERYONE then all the MEDICAL USERS WOULD HAVE ACCESS, and likely much cheaper medicine. This is why I question cannabis activism to the exclusion of everyone except for "MMJ Users". That position is obviously not going to produce a good long term solution to the problem of people getting safe access to and using marijuana that use it for serious medical problems. Full legalization does though. So until that happens,

go get your rec. Like I said, if you have a wallet, with cash, a valid state id, you are qualified to obtain a MMJ Rec with more doctors than you can count. Those are the 2 most important factors, not your medical condition.

Now I am sure that I will get flamed and you won't.

Alright, thanks man... I guess I wont bother with getting too fancy with my ailment/story. Coming from a bible belt state I guess I just assumed something as amazing as a card would be harder to attain, gotta start wrapping my head around living in a more openminded state... cant wait
