i want to open a non profit alternative treatment center in nj...i know the law isnt past yet (hopefully it will by the end of the year) but maybe someone knows something i dont. does anyone know how to get a permit n license...i've been looking around the internet for info n i havent found anything. if anyone can give me some info that would be great

Join the club. No one that is involved with this will post any concrete set of steps you need to take. Here in Calif., the law is in such a state of turmoil that no one knows what to do, or what not to do.
First, I recommend you familiarize yourself with the laws in New Jersey as they are different in each state. Unfortunately, in California, the authorities haven't gotten over the fact that the citizens wanted it to be legal for medical purposes. Undoubtedly, these very same juges, councilpeople, regulators and other officials have a few martinis or more, wine, beer, prescribed medication for their ailments, all the while talking about how bad marijuana is for you, when they don't even know the facts.
California is trying to shut em down in various cities on the ruse that no one can make a profit from them, and the mere exchange of money constitues a profit. I suppose they want people to just give the stuff away to those that have a prescription for it. I also gather that they don't think the grower(s) should even be compenstated for their electricity, water, growing equipment, and/or the gas used to deliver the stuff.
Unknown how it'll all shake out in Calif. Grass should be legal, anyway, for consenting adults over 21. How we as a people ALLOW our government to keep it illegal is a mystery. Good thing is that Obama isn't like the former presidents in this regard. But, the DEA has a bunch of gestapos who just love busting marijuana users, because they have too much time on their hands, and need to keep their jobs.
I am seriously thinking of literally GIVING grass to peope for absolutely no cost whatsoever, and advertising that I'm doing that, and giving people instructions on how to get their medical ID card, and doing this right in front of a police station because it's too difficult to get a permit to open up in a retail establishment.

thanks for replying....the laws in nj are that you cant grow yourself you have to buy from a center so i dont think that ill have a problem opening one. i'm trying to get a early start n i want to get a store set up as soon as the law pass. i also so a site thats taking pre register for qualified patients and i have no idea on how there doing this lol. i'm not really into making money as long as i come out equal i'll be happy. i just want to help some sick people and work w weed all day.

The only way that I know you can open up your own dispensary is you have to get your business license and go to school for other stuff as well for it. Then again I could be wrong but the only thing that I can say is check this website.

there are loop holes, and u dont have to go to school.the classes provided are 2 help people land jobs in a dispensary and learn more about cannabis "including law". u can apply for a buisness license as a herbal product dealer, holistic ailment center,etc....i forget the auctual names but u can look em up online,choose the one that is closest to pot. when it comes to paying taxes u fill out a 1099 form from the i.r.s u pay taxes as a independent contractor.a lot of cities are catching onto this stuff but hell.the club in my town has been operating for years with permits for herbal medicines and alternative health.every one nows about it,shit it was in the paper and still have not been shut down.
