Made a home made pipe out of necessity. :(
My pipe ive had for so long broke.
Only thing left that you could use was the stoker and conepiece.
So i got a Schweppes 600ml plastic soft drink bottle (I'm sure a coke bottle would work fine although Schweppes is longer).Heated a spot with the lighter try to poke with stoker didn't work nor did knives i use a pair of scissors to cut, then put the blades together to poke in to fashion a hole to hold the cone piece in the bottle.Put the cone piece in make sure the cone piece is tightly in.
This is cleaner and the cone piece is easier to clean than in a normal pipe.
Voila a instant pipe!
I started smoking it and i got so fucking stoned off it it is awesome. Ill post some pictures when mum is out and i can borrow her camera.

Congrats on your creativity!
There was a time, long, long ago, when hippie stoners made most of their own paraphernalia- pipes, bongs, hookahs, steamrollers and clips. Store-bought was the exception!
And oh, what a variety of items we had! Tall, "Pier 1" bottles from India became hookahs. We raided hardware plumbing sections for brass. Clips were all the way from primitive looking "totem sticks", to fantastic wire and bead creations, to an alligator clip and tiny bells attached to a car antenna (a party clip for passing!). And you should have seen the pipes! When you make it yourself, it's a one of a kind! Make something beautiful, original and "YOU"! Have fun! - Granny

Hence the conepiece not just making a hole as the conepiece.

Maybe I missed something, but if the 'conepiece' is metal, and you apply a flame to it, and it's sitting directly on the plastic of the bottle, and metal is an excellent conductor of heat...?
