hey guys, i have a bong and im not sure what kind of glass it is but its really thick and it was expensive so thats all i can say. but my problem is that it has an amber tint to it everywhere except the middle of the chamber, where it is see through glass.


well to the point, i know it can be done so can anybody direct me towards a proper method of washing the tint off the glass so in left with just a glass see through bong?

It will never be as clean as it when it was brand new, but you can do things to make it at least look cleaner than it is now. What I do is i fill it with rubbing alcohol and set fire to it, wait until it starts to boil (should take about 5 seconds or so) then put it out with water. After that I put half the rubbing alcohol I had in it before then shake it, do that a couple times and it will look much cleaner.

dont light alcohol infire in your bong your risking the bong blowing up infront of you throwing glass shards all into your face...not smart or the glass will crack due too it heating up too fast just rinse with hot ass water then use alcohol and salt if that dont work wich it probly wont because that amber color is put into some peices so..

its not dirty, it has an amber tint to the bong on the actual glass. like sprayed on color or something you know. i doubt alcohol and salt would wash the color off ?????

if the color of the glass is amber, the only way you could get a clear bong would be to buy one where the color of the glass is clear.

When the glass is blown, the color is applied at that time, and fuses permanently to the body of the piece. Amber glass is pretty and doesn't show resin residue as quickly as other colors- why ever would you want to change that, or buy a bong in a color you don't like? Odd.
