Today I traded my glass bowl for a small hookah. It has one hose, lights up all psychedelic like in the middle, and is about... oh, 13 inches tall. I plan on breaking it in and naming it tonight, but I want to ask a few questions.

Firstly, the bowl I got for the top of the hookah is very large, with no screen and 4 large holes. Obviously, this was made for tobacco. Would it be wise for me to use tin foil to put over the bowl, then poke little holes where the otherwise very large holes once were? Or does anyone know any other way to negate the effect of the 4 large holes? I only have a little less than a gram to smoke tonight, so I can't afford to let it suck through.

You need to go out and buy some shisha to mix with that weed. That will get you higher and more relaxed than you've ever been. I wouldnt smoke just marijuana if you're only using a gram.

the way i do it is put a layer of tobaco in the bottom filling half the bowl, sprinkle the weed over that layer, then cover it with another layer of tobaco, of course get ready for an unusual high do to the large amounts of nicotine from the tobacco.

I actually just found a smaller metal bowl I forgot I had, so I'm gonna use that. If I do use the large ceramic bowl, I will probably mix in some tobacco like you guys said. Now I'm going downstairs to blaze. Wish me hiiiiiiigggghh.

I agree 100%. When you end up using larger bowl, I really recommend doing what 40 said. Good ol' "hookah plus" is great, really.

By the way, a lot of people that use the hookah for only shisa will tell you that weed ruins a hookah's insides but we've been using the same one (about 24 in.) for at least a year and it still works like a charm.

yeah, one of my best friends is persian and has a SWEET hookah, like at least 30" high that he doesnt allow weed in, its buzzkill

hookahs are cool as hell but you destroy the taste of the shisha with weed. Even if you only use weed sometimes, there's resins and stuff that build up in the hose.

Hookahs are no more trouble to clean than a bong is.

Just replace the tobacco with ganja.
