Alcohol in a bong would be pointless. Alcohol is a nonpolar solvent, which unlike water and other polar (ionic) solvents, will dissolve substances which are fat soluble (alcohol is great for cleaning up greasy stains for just this reason). Since THC is highly fat suluble, alcohol will dissolve it readily, as well.

i was a skeptic at first but i found that hot water (boiling if your pipes can handle it) is really enjoyable  also i would think dry ice would really fuck with your lungs =S

Man, smoking through a full chamber of crushed ice is a really cold smoke, and you can take big-ass hits, but a boiling chamber creates a warm, cushy smoke that feels like every toke is a 5 minute steam room.
I want to try damn-near boiling green tea; it'd probably taste REALLY GOOD!!!! Genmai Cha, perhaps?
