I've got an old bong with no carb where you have to pull the bowl out to hit it. I've got a drill, and I want to put a carb in it. Think it'll work? I just hate pulling that fucking thing out!

what's a slide. The bong is acrylic, and I just actually drilled the carb, and it works perfectly. I don't know why I didn't do this before! Can't tell you how many times I spilled a fucking bowl on the carpet because I had to pull it out to get a hit. Not anymore.

It's actually kind of fun to drill shit! Other than Carmzilla's dead mother, of course!

By the way, you can drill glass. Get some Play-doh, make a small snake with it about 200% bigger than your hole will be. Put a dot on the bong with a marker where the center will be. Put the Play-doh snake in a circle with the dot in the center. Make sure the Play-doh is solid all the way around. It should be less than 1" high. Fill the circle with a bit of water. Choose your drill-bit. Drill at the center dot.

The water keeps the glass from getting too hot and cracking. I don't know what type of bit you would need but I'm sure someone at your hardware store could tell you.

I've got a green acrylic bong that's got a carb in it (also called a "Power-Hitter"). It's a bit small though. How big did you make your carb, profane?

I didn't notice a size on the drill bit, but it's about half the size of a dime. It's larger than the usual carb, but I want to get some huge rips off of it.

It's definetly a lot easier to use now, as I said. I opted for the bigger carb so I could hit it like a man. I just toked a blunt-roach in there, and those hard fucking rips tore me up. I had some ice water in there, though, but I felt pretty fucking full. Almost how I feel when I'm smoking with a gravo.

ummm why would you want a carb if it has a slide? thats just another place to lose suction =\ but its cool that you got through without shattering your piece I use a diamond tipped drill bit for stuff like that but its lost in the pile of trash, stems, and cigarette butts next to my bed =\
