If you've been smoking for along time then I gotta ask ya... do you usually try and ghost your hits or something? Maybe that is why you can't hold in hits anymore... because you fucked your lungs.

the last time i had one of those in my room with my friend bryan... the entire room was whited out, and i literally didn't remember the last half of the night when i woke up the next day.

Start to take hits where you cough like a little scag. I guarantee that you'll get used to taking big bong hits if you do this. Coughing also makes blood rush to your head causing thc to get there faster giving you a good high. I'm able to clear a 5' 5" bong easily completely full of smoke. But it could also be from me being a bagpiper and having a huge lung capacity...who knows!?

As do I. Most of the THC is absorbed into the bloodstream within a few seconds.

well this is what i do with pipes, when i've already done alot of hits and my lungs are starting to burn. i take the hit, but leave a little room in my lungs, and then put my mouth over the cherried bowl and suck in with the rest of my lung power. so that way, im cooling off my lungs with some fresh air, but im still getting some smoke.

Lung strength and capacity have little to do with big bong rips-- it's more about how sensitive your throat and lungs are, and there's very little you can do about that except smoke a lot.

Frankly, you should consider it a good thing that you can't handle massive rips-- it means you haven't completely killed your lungs with too much smoking.

i really dont know what to say... im like what you said, i can take in infinite sized hits, hold it forever, and so on... i only have trouble doing that with a pipe... and even then... i manage to force myself not to cough :P i am very strong minded lol even too much for my own good lol

My experience has been a lot different. When I first started smoking, if I took a fat bong rip I would be like dead. I would be coughing until it felt like my lungs were bleeding. But ever since I started smoking on a daily basis, it’s like… well that tickling feeling that you get in your lungs/throat that makes you cough, it just isn’t there anymore when I smoke. It still makes me cough, like a minute later when you start like coughing up resin, lol, but not while I smoke.

But If I hold off for a few days, then hit the bong again, its pretty much back to coughing again.
