Try to imagine making the bottle of beer with the beer inside it. It´s insane.
That´s exactly what people have been trying to do.

i found the key 2 rolling a good J is to leave less weed in the center of the paper ... thumbs holding/rolling up 2ward middle. zip ... voila .... joint

in my years of toking I have come across 2 types of roller. those who don't care what it looks like and are happy toking on what looks like a tampon, and those who treat it as an artform.

I remember the first time i rolled a non tampon looking joint, was sooo happy then remembered that i was only practising and it had nothing in it. ah well.

just got back from the Dam where i remembered another way if you dont like the taste of the paper (until you try it you wont realise how bad the paper tastes).

its best to use the finest papers you can get. in uk Rizla silvers. the reason will become clear

step 1 - take your skin and fold it the reverse way than what it came out of the packet. you need to have the glue side on the underneath and at the bottom nearest you.

step 2 - fill it with goodies and whatever then roll it as normal so its the glue strip that is the first bit you fold over.

step 3 - (the reason for the fine papers) to stick it you need to lick the outside of the rolled up spliff. If you use fine paper you can clearly see where glue strip is, so lick there.

what you are left with (or should be) is a perfect rolled spliff with just a single roll of paper and a large flap of the remaining paper coming out the side. to get rid of it simply set it alight. Don't worry it wont set the spliff alight. As soon as the fire hits the the part you just licked it goes out.

then just a little tidying up and your away.

no more nasty paper taste. I read somewhere its called a Dutch joint but thats probably a load of crap.

i cant explain it you kind of make the paper do shit

like after the weed is in, roll it to where the front is higher than the back, then the back is higher than the front until it is a cylinder, then roll the front down to where it is at the top of the weed, tuck it from the middle to the end (or it willbe pregnant) lick,stick,spark... not that hard... i havent had any problems...just practice. the first time i did it all the wed fell out and it sucked...just do it over and over and eventually the will look like little cigarettes...except they arent.

I've found that the biggest mistake newbies make when rolling is they don't take their time to see if the smoking medium is level before they try to tuck and roll. i usually put the mix into the paper, roll it once in my fingers to get it into shape, and then open it up, level it out, twist tuck and roll. rolls perfect joints everytime

yea, they do it like that in europe, its not too popular in the states.

i taught myself and now i can do it while driving!
just get a 1/4 paper. fold the bottom up to the crease and open it. fill that fold in and use your index fingers to hold the flap down while using your thumbs to roll up. being firm, roll from the middle and work your way out. lick her up and roll up. i find i roll best when already stoned cause when you put too much thought into ya f up.

Haha...you are wrong in your assumptions in my opinion. But to each his own. Aesthetics and Stonedness matter more to me, I guess.

i use a dollar bill when i roll. i don't know why i thought of it, but it's worked for me... just curve the bill and put the paper in it, lay some weed in it, then touch both sides of the bill together and then basically run your thumbs up the bill until the j is completely rolled... you never get a funky looking j and it smokes so good! anyone else ever done it or am i the only one?

Rolling tobacco with weed helps it burn more evenly and yeah u can just take the tobacco from a cigarette and use that in ur J or whatever.

I hate it when my friends mix weed and tobacco together its disgusting. Weed is what I smoke and is the only thing I'm always going to smoke

i have a harder time rolling js than i do rolling blunts.. its because i got that stupid rolling machine , its so much easier than rolling my own lol.

well i tried to roll one today (first time smoking ) and it turned out to be a wimpy piece of shit that fell apart.....

Everyone talking about rolling the paper on a pen or pencil and then shoving marijuana into it is an idiot. Anyone talking about using rolling machines is an idiot. If you don't roll your spliffs by hand, you're dumb becuase rolling the jay is the best part of smoking. It is an artform. A perfectly rolled dutch joint is the most satisfying thing to roll. You check out your awesome work, show your friends, then get ripped. I wouldn't have it any other way. No rolling machines, no pens, no pencils, no shortcuts.

Last night I rolled my first joint, I had to use 2 paper to make it even work.

Today I see this post and think hmmmm . I got a business card I can use as a tray. I cut a little roach out of and envelope and rolled around a ink pen shaft(not the pen but the shaft pulled out of the pen, or a Q-Tip works) to make my roach kind of pre-formed round with no notch's in it. I follow the instructions, Make sure you get the lip of the paper at the roach to roll inside with the roach so you can roll it on up. End result I with minimul effort I rolled on that looks virtually like the original posters J. Once youu have made the pinch he shows you with the roach you can even-out your herb by useing your left thumb and fingers to corress the yet finshed joint with the joint held so gravity keeps the herb from coming out of the open end and using your fingers it kind of finds it own ballace.

Everyone here has the tools he showing, follow what he says and boom you got a real serious J. Again this was my 2nd J ever.
