Well I was looking around the Internet today at some pollen pressers as im sick of pressing hash the long way lol. I then came up with this idea.
1.
Take a regular bold about 2cm wide with the whole in the middle being about a cm wide, roll up a bit of card or a magazine cover about a inch long and big enough to fit snuggly inside the bolt.

2.
So now you have a bolt on a bit of rolled up card, you now find a metal pole or any long straight metal instrument that will also fit snuggly inside the bolt and card, wrap another piece of card around the pole if it has a thread on it if not don't worry about it.

3.
You should now have a metal pole with a bit of card around it with a bolt on it. Now its easy.

4.
Take the pole out of the bolt put your keif into the little card tube that is inside your bolt (keep the tube on a flat surface at this point, now get the pole and apply pressure so that it is pushing your keif onto your flat surface.

5.
Give it about 20 hits fairly hard with your hammer.

6.
Remove the pole and the tube in the middle of your bolt should easily slide out allowing you to unroll it and retrieve your tightly pressed keif.

Note: It is an idea to do this after using the normal oven method while the keif is still warm as a final pressing stage.

Yer soz its just that i wrote this when i was stoned and didnt have a camera handy.

Just a lil question how do you make the really hard hash like what is sold Roadside, this is the hardest ive gotten my kief.

Note: it is a good idea to apply allot of preasure for a long time, i put mine under my bed so that the pole was pushing down with allot of weight all night.

Sounds like a good idea if you don't have a keif press. The big advantage to an actual keif press is the precision. Your question about getting the hash really hard relates to this. With an actual press everything is milled out fairly precisely. When you screw everything down it gets really hard because there is no where else for it to go, it simply compresses more.

With something homemade you'll lack that precise fit. If the keif can bulge out or get out of the card board tube, even a bit, it will take away from the compression and, therefore, it won't be as hard. Still, good job coming up with a homemade version.

everyonedoesit.com has cheap pollen presses.I got a nice one for under 25$ including shipping.It will press about 1/2 to 1gm at a time into pellets the size of an aspirin tablet.And if you use a wrench to torque the ends down really tight,you can acheive a fairly hard cake.The more pressure,the more heat that is generated to "cook" the kief.If you want to cook it further,you could simply toss the press in your oven at low heat for a bit.Only parts not made of metal are the 2 solid plugs that press the hash.Those are made of acrylic and should be able to withstand being baked at low temp.

Take a cellophane sheet(plastic from a cigarette carton, food wrapping or similar, pour your resin powder into the folded corner and place on a hard surface.
Take a coffee pot full of hot liquid( water or coffee) and squish the packet flat, turn and press until all resin has melted.
Cool before opening, then fold and repress the newly formed hashish.
