I recently purchased what was sold as "hydro" from someone who is renound for having good connections. Is 20$/gram too much. I mean its completely seedless, covered in big sticky trichomes, and has a lot of orange hairs in it but I'm a little freaked out by the price...I live in Texas BTW.

$20 a gram is pretty stiff. Buy in larger quantities and you should be able to get it for about $150 a half ounce. 1/2 ounce equals 14 grams equals about $10 a gram.

it really depends on the city you live in

in the middle of nowhere where there may only be a handful of dealers they can charge whatever they want. if it is REAL good then $20 a gram is not unheard of. no 8th should never be more than $60, mayyybe $65 if it is really really really good but never 70. the same goes for the OZ, no ounce is worth more than 400, if your paying more than 420 your getting bucked

Where I'm from its damn near impossible to find anything good for less than $60 and 8th, and you're looking at $65-70 for the amazing stuff. $20/g isn't too bad where I'm from, but HT also reports MD(where I am) as being the most expensive in the US, with OZ often pushing $450-$550.

lots of places in the US cost 400-500 dollars an ounce, have you not looked in a recent High Times??? just in the most recent issue the Kind Index nation wide is averaging $434/oz
depending on the state you're looking at $600-for some Hundu Kush in Tinley Park Ill (insane if you ask me)
$500 for Sour Diesel in MD
$350 Grape Ape in MO
$420 for some Shishkaberry in Austin texass

any time you think you overpaid just ask yourself, could you have gotten the same quality meds from another source for a lower price? If you didnt have anyone else to call then you did not over pay. Supply and demand is the name of the game and honestly most people who sell buds dont think it is worth it to sell less then $20 worth of buds; same risk for such a little amount of money. In Tejas I would be happy to smoke stuff that didnt come bricked.

Yeah, this thing i got going with this guy is such a relief from the mexican bricked shit I've decided I'm willing to pay the extra price. Besides, this particular guy comes to my house whenever I text him and has a good grasp on the idea of consistency. Thanks for the replies. In the end I just went for it and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

Yeah, weed is pretty pricey around here. $20/g is the going rate for dro. I find that popcorn, which is good quality but has some seeds (yay!), goes for about $60/half and that's what I usually look for nowadays if it's a trustworthy connect offering it.
