I live in California and am fortunate enough to be able to try tons of different strains from the different dispensaries. That said, I have only seen a limited amount of Organic Cannabis.

What is available elsewhere?

There is also a lot of confusion about what Organic means, especially with the lack of any regulating body. Some limit Organic to outdoor bud that's just thrown in the ground and left to grow. I see it as the using only Organic nutrients and sprays, and plenty of them, whether inside or outside.

Any body else interested in Organic bud and its benefits?

I've always been a fanatic for organically grown methods over chemical fertilizers. You're really not sacrificing much yield when done right, it's harder to over-fertilize with organic products, and I'm one of those stubborn folks who still makes the claim that organically grown buds just plain taste better. Am I biased? Oh yeah! But I've grown both ways, so I think my bias is justified.

In fact I might be tempted to think that the fertilizers used on 'street weed' might actually cause health problems.

In the UK especially I doubt very much that the street weed is flushed carefully or grown organically. Which is one of the reasons I don't buy it.

Organic weed to me seems to smoke smoother, has a better taste and a cleaner high - but maybe i'm biased I've seen sparks literally fly from non-organic weed when smoked

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the fertilizers, hormones, and other nasty additives commercial growers use to maximize their weed has caused/is causing health problems. In moderation, chemical ferts do what they're intended to do, granted... but we're definitely on the same page when it comes to the more pleasant taste of organically grown buds that were cared for, flushed properly, etc.

Also don't blame you at all for not buying any of that commercial garbage. There's no telling what's in that stuff. I remember hearing a year or two back of some dealers putting silica, amongst other things, in their buds to bump the weight up. I know it was a pretty big problem in the UK at one point, and definitely was an issue in the States. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what was causing the sparks you described in those non-organic buds. Just another good reason for decriminalization/regulation of cannabis... take the power out of the hands of careless idiots just looking to make a buck on a sub-par product.

I myself have a chronic medical condition, and because I'm going through a 'Anti-Viral toxin removement ' that literally is on a seek and destroy for viruses and toxins (metals, whatever).

Anyway, organic is limited in Midwest, a lucky find. I do organic because I don't want to expose myself to potential harmful stuff at anytime in the entire process of the seed to the smoke

You're not very likely to find any commercial buds that have been treated with the same loving care that most organic gardeners put into their plants, so growing your own is a really sensible way to keep a constant supply of unadulterated medicine on hand. Still keeping my fingers crossed that the state and federal governments will eventually recognize the benefits that cannabis can provide for sick individuals and reconsider their stance on criminalization - until then, there will always be clandestine growers willing to put in the time needed to grow high-quality medicine. I'll definitely be one of them.
