I'm sick. I started having a cough last night, and by the end of the night I had no voice. This morning my throat is killing me, and feels closed up, i've got congestion and am coughing up phlegm. So I assume I have a cold.

My question is is it a bad idea to smoke if your getting sick or already are sick?

I would assume it is, but please let me know.

Smoking if never good for the lungs, if you have problem with ure lungs and troath, I will advise to at least vaporized. But been there done that, I've smoke sick and I'm still here...

Well... you could make some edible/drinkable with the weed... as being high usually alleviates some of the symptoms of the cold, or at least made them more bearable.

It may actually be bronchitis, does that change anything? I really feel like smoking

My experience is: The 'common cold' gives me post nasal drip that drains down the throat and cause's allergice bronchitis, for me! Allergic to cigarettes! Mmj, will dry up my head and throat and shorten the 'common cold' or if I know I've been around cig. smoke; I go toke asap and it prevents it altogether.

VERY unfortunately it does... so its not an option for much people, me included... but if you have plenty of weed, enjoy it!

(HOW MUCH i miss the days when my dealer lived some 5 houses away from mine and i could get as much weed as i wanted... instead to need to live one entire year with only 2 oz... how i miss that... damn... )

nothing helps more than a little herb when you're feeling sicky. It's helping me right now

smoking does not help speed up the process if a common cold but it does make the symptoms more bareable. i smoke when im sick and all it does is makes me forget im sick

surprisingly enough, when i get a cold and am coughing with nothing coming up, smoking a bowl helps me to cough it up. just me?
