Hello to all,

Well i havent smoke in God knows when, im thinking 2 weeks. Ive been an avid smoker for 5 years now and always had allergies even before starting to toke. Since my break started, Ive been having to take allergy medicines about every day, because Ill wake up and go to sleep with itchy eyes, sore throat, and the sniffles. I dont know if the ganja got rid of these symptoms or just alleviated them. Maybe someone with some sort of background can shed some light on as to why am I getting bad allergies when im no longer smoking.

Well... it also happened with me. Before i start smoking, i had rhinitis and allergies, which made my nose and throat itch like hell... and i also had to take medicines to control it... then, after i start to smoke, the itching lessened very noticeably, until vanish completly. Since i started to smoke i never had any need to take the allergy medicines anymore. For me it seems the weed numbs the nose and throat a bit, alleviating the itching... and whenever i take a break the allergy symptoms start to build again... so maybe weed acts indeed like an allergy medicine.

i never found that mj does not help my allergies. i still have a stuffy nose and itchy eyes when i smoke if one of my friends has a cat.
