First off, I'm not sure this is in the right place, and I'm sorry if it's not.
I just started taking Lexapro for anxiety and depression, and I wasn't sure if it was still safe to smoke weed. [Also cigarettes, but I'm more concerned about the former.] |

Marijuana has the capability to alter your perceptions on reality. If you have a depressive disorder, it is generally unwise to smoke it when not in a positive environment, as it can trigger your symptoms. To answer your question, it IS safe, however depending on your circumstances, it may lower the effectiveness of your medications. One thing you need to keep note NOT to do, is mix Lexapro with Alcohol. I have no experience with Lexapro whatsoever, but I know that mixing anti-depressants with alcohol is never a good thing.
And cigarrettes are just nasty.

Well... there are some strains of weed that are used exactly for treating anxiety and depression... if you were lucky enough to live in a state with MMJ, you could even ask your doctor to recommend it for you... so you could smoke and medicate yourself at the same time!
![]() And, please, dont smoke cigarrettes... they are damn bad for your health! If you want to smoke, smoke weed!

That said. medications tend to effect people differently mostly due to body chemistry. I will suggest to you what I told him.. Talk to your Doctor or Pharmacist.

Lexapro might not have worked for you but in controlled clinical trials have shown to demonstrate positive effects for patients and shouldn't be just tossed into a 'bin' of 'fuck this fuck that' some pills can be beneficial to people with serious medical conditions as marijuana can be. Cops do their job and we should be thankful (seeing that thanksgiving is coming up soon anyway )There is actually a coalition of cops for legalization some cops ARE on your side don't generalize!
