Exclamation Chronic Pain Research

Hi, We are preparing to go before the Board Of Health here in NM, but we need information, mostly medical research or studies on cannabis and chronic pain. It is the one that we are having trouble finding good valid research for. We know it is good because it benfits so many, but when we go in fornt of the board we have to prove why. So this is why we need research or even Doctor studies or recommendations from doctors on the benifites of cannabis used for chronic pain. We have found a great deal on other things such as depression, and non- cancer related illnesses, but for chronic pain we are having trouble finding anything that we can take to the board. If any of you got some information or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's an idea:

Find literature to show the relationship between your cannabinoid receptors and your opioid receptors, before and after brain-trauma.

After a head-injury, your opioid receptors are highly expressed, near the injured area of the brain, and, at the time of trauma, your hippocampus outputs twenty-six times the normal amount of endogenous cannabinoids (anandamide, 2-AG), in order to save your brain and shut down it's memory.
