Ok so yesterday I got my wisdom teeth extracted and the doctor gave me 30 pills of 5/500 vicodin, which is more than I really need for the pain. So I was planning on taking maybe 4 for the concert I'm going to tonight. I would also like to smoke weed, but I can't smoke because this increases the possibility of my gums getting infected. However, I can get pot edibles from the local cannabis club (like ginger snaps or peanut butter cookies).
So my question is: will 20 mg of hydrocodone and a small pot edible give me a good time or will it just make me tired and pass out? Also, if anyone has done this, what is the high like and how dangerous is it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

i would only eat a couple if your not used to them. also it depends on your weight

OMG, DON'T DO IT!!!! You will pass out!! Not trying to be motherly or anything, but 4 Vicodin at that strength and weed will knock you on your ass. You will not have fun because you will probably fall asleep before you see the band. I had the same script a month ago, so I'm not just blowing smoke here. Ask Aps, I tried to write him a PM after 2 Vics and it ended up being a bunch of nonsense and I even spelled my name wrong....then I fell asleep for 3 hours. Taking 4 and mixing in cannabis does not spell a good time, my friend.

Yeah, I'd say 4 is a bit much. Try starting off with 2 and bring the others along, just in case?

Ah, 4 is fine. 5/500 hundreds are weak. I used to mix pot/hydrocodone/oxycodone all the time when I was on pain meds. Don't worry about it, I would take two 5/500's and eat a PB cookie.

Sweet, this is exactly what I was planning to do. I'm supposed to be taking 2 for the pain anyway. I think I'll have a weed ginger snap instead though, cause I find them tastier than the PB cookies.

Hey thanks for your concern but I really don't think it's that big of a deal for several reasons: 1. I have been taking about 2 every four hours since 10 AM yesterday, as the bottle instructs, so I already have some experience and tolerance...2. I have a friend who is going to drive me around, so I don't really have to worry about that...3. I've had these weed cookies before, and it's really more of a body high than the kind that will make me exhausted...4. I may just not go to the concert if I feel too out of it and instead just chill at a friend's house. Really, two of the lowest strength vicodin available didn't really fuck me up last night, so I think I'll be alright. Are you sure that when you tried vicodin, it wasn't one of the stronger prescriptions? I think I'll go through will the two pills and a cookie idea...if you DO happen to be right, I'll be sure to tell you. But yeah, even if we don't agree, it's pretty cool that you want to help me, so thanks for that.

Yeah, doctor put me on a scrip of 7.5s for my hand (had to have my pins UNSCREWED out of my bone and flesh as I was awake, and completely sober, AAAAH!!) anyway. Been taking three of them for fun (take 1.5 for pain anyway) for 2 days and yesterday decided to take it up a notch. Took 4 of them and watched The Incredibles. I was laying down and REALLY feeling the urge to sleep, but I found that sitting up took away my drowsiness almost completely. It is extremely uncomfortable if you're in a hot environment, though. You'll start feeling sick and you'll just want to sit down and not move.

Thursday I took 3 and smoked....well...a lot. I was fine. In fact, I was more than fine. Completely mellowed out, comfortable, feeling good, happy as FUCK in a lethargic kinda way. I did get a headache later on that night, but I'm pretty sure that was from being caught downwind (or is it upwind...?) of the big fire at the outdoor party.

ok well turns out it was a great time for me. I had three at around 6:30 pm, then went to the beach with my friends. They smoked while I ate my pot brownie and walked by myself down the shore. Then we met back up and I went to my friend's house to eat pizza. Then I took a fourth at around 10. It was really amazing. It was like a big high, but slowed down and stretched out for like 6 hours. Awesome high.

Nice. My fave rescipie is 6 Vicodin+2 40's of OE+ Hot Knifez.

It was kind of fun, in a weird floaty sort of way, but when you really do need them for pain, I guess it's not as cool. I can see how ppl can get totally addicted to them. Thank God I only had a script for 30 or else who knows? I have much sympathy for Matthew Perry. I'd much rather some mushies or drop some E for a high (besides weed, of course). Or a line, or 2, or 3...........

I literally just did that last night, 4 vics and a bowl of pot makes me sick as hell, I puked up dinner no matter how hard i tried to hold it down. Either one separate im fine, but the mix is not a fun high to me.

It would have been better to start your own thread instead of digging up an old thread because when this thread was started, talk of other drugs was allowed. Now talk of other drugs is only allowed in certain cases, such as when you have a legal prescription for a pain killer and you want to know how it will be affected by marijuana.

I'm moving this thread to medical and keeping an eye out on it. Talk of use of pain killers for recreation will result in infractions and closure of this thread. Thanks.

Get a home drug test if you want to know for sure if you can pass a drug test. Drinking lots of water for days and days before the test will not help you get clean quicker. All that water will not make your kidneys work better.

But ya might think about closing the thread... original poster was asking about how many pills to take (plus mj edibles) to have "a good time" at a concert, instead of a pain-free time.

Itake 4 vicodins at a time because my doctor told me to.Pain killers dont work for me,but weed works,but when I first got weed,I had taken 4 vicodins that day not too long before burning and I didnt pass out.
but then again everyones body is diffrent,I aint afraid anyone would pass out,but its just a bad idea to mix drugs I think.

sorry to bump an old post here, but I had to share my experience.
I had shingles, so a doctor prescribed me 5mg/500mg vicodin.. I wasn't too thrilled about that since I'm not a huge fan of pharmaceutical drugs... however the pain was really bad so I took half of one (i'm really short and i weigh 100 lbs). I didn't really feel anything for a while... so I took a hit of pot. Like 10 minutes later I was laying in bed and I was SO comfortable.... I can't explain it, it was the best feeling in the world. And then I got realllly tired and I fell asleep for a super long time and didn't remember a whole lot from the rest of the night. Everything seemed like a dream, it was crazy. It was the most calming feeling ever...

i took vicodin plain and i didn't feel anything... I guess it only works with pot haha

Starshine, I peeked in here because I saw the name of a prescription med and wondered how it even got here. Now, I see, I have been here before, but had to make a comment.

I personally, never liked the prescription stuff, but it was all I had for years. For severe spinal problems and I've never used it recreationally. I found that it did little for my pain but it made me not care about it. Everyone is different.

I do however, think, the theory is: If you have a pain level of well lets say 8 with 10 being highest (you take less than prescribed) Lets say, enough for the pain level of a 3 (not too much pain)--You will not get the prescribed effect! Hope that makes sense. The only thing I found that med good for is a toothache, personally.

It is my inner thot, one day pain med will be prescribed like antibiotics: Certain pain med works better for certain problem! Just like the mmj, I found the best stuff for my knee pain was a kush. For my back spasms--edibles and I don't know what was in them, but worked each time. It seems we have learned more about the effects and use of cannibis by this useful forum than the AMA knows about pain medications! Just my personal theory!

I know you are right about sleep and rest, it seems to help a lot of stress related problems. Just keep takin your mmj, at least you know you will wake up and not overdose on it!! Hope you get better, those shingles really hurt and you need to take care of them properly and do all you can to keep them away. I am sure Doc told you the prognosis! pr
