Pelican
Whew Weee! This band kicks so much ass, its hard to comprehend. They are an all instrumental rock band. They can be Heavy Rock at times, and at other times they can be soft. If your in to rock, I highly recommend you check them out, Im not sure if you can get them off Limewire, I bought the album off iTunes. They have a song great for any mood.

Hell yeah man, Pelican is one of my fav post-progressive rock bands +rep... The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw, is a good album.. you forgot to mention March Into The Sea though IMO that's one of thier best songs theyve done. I've been really diggin the new one City Of Echoes, Australasia is just as awesome. I have yet to hear the self-titled though. I'm hoping to put together a band with a simillar style when I finish my degree next spring.
If you like this style of instrumental rock you should also check out The Red Sparrowes, Don Caballero, or for the mellower instrumentals check out Mogwai... Isis is also a good band with simillar sound, however they're not instrumental.

Mmmmmmhhm I found them because of Isis, which I do love. I like March into the Sea,but its a tad hardcore, but nothing I'm against. I love Mogwai aswell, I am really into the post-rock genre. The new album is rad, but it seems a little softer then The Fire in Our Throats....

click the scales on the side... oh and the new album isnt mellower than FIOTWBTT there is one accoustic track and the rest is pretty much the heavier pelican sound except for city of echoes the title track that one's a little more mellow but it does get going pretty strong in parts... i kinda like it a little better than fire in our throats

picked up the slef titled last week, not thier best but it brutally awesome... massive sounding walls of chords that just fill the space your listening in... "Pulse" is an awesome one to smoke to and just sit in a room with the sound way up and just let it over take you
