I found out something about NM, If you file taxes in Bernalillo county, you are eligible for health insurance thought the state. it goes off of how much you make so you deductibles and payments could be low to free. Thats right some things can be free, for low income. But if your not low income the health insurance is much better than allot of places, it is cheaper, and you get a card so you are covered even if you are out of state. This is a very good thing for us working 2 part-times, and are not eligible for benefits or for those of us, who have benefits but they suk(I was at a place that had a health savings plan WTF, now I save for when I need a hospital).

the program is through UNMH, you must schedule an appointment, and it does take a long time, but your DR visits are like normal, you get sick you call in and go to the DR. they have many DR to choose from all over the city, and it covers everything from prescriptions to ER visits, you name it. So JUMP ON THIS NOW, because it takes like 3 months just to go through the application, and getting your card, and all of that. it is different for every one, and it can cost nothing a month, as in FREE.
