Anyone need help growing their meds? Free Expert Advise!

I am an expert in hydroponic cultivation, and have been cultivating cannabis for 8 years now.
If anyone is having problems producing an adequate supply, or you need advice on anything related to cannabis please feel free to post your questions in this thread.
I do have some experience with soil cultivation as well, but not nearly as experienced.

If you are interested in hydroponics, may I recommend doing some research into the benefits of growing hydroponically. I enclosed a little tidbit of info.

"Dr. Howard M. Resh, in his book HYDROPONIC FOOD PRODUCTION, cites vegetable yield increases that are dramatic; identical cucumber plants produced 7,000 pounds per acre in soil but 28,000 pounds per acre when grown hydroponically and tomato yields that ranged from 5 to 10 tons per acre in soil but 60 to 300 tons per hydroponic acre. The reported results are typical for practically any plant. Said another way, to produce the total number of tomatoes consumed annually in Canada (400 million pounds) requires 25,000 acres of soil. Hydroponically, it would require only 1,300 acres."

PS I AM NOT ENDORSING ANY PARTICULAR WEBSITE, ANY PARTICULAR HYDROPONIC EQUIPMENT. OR THE BOOK LISTED ABOVE.
EVERYTHING I BUILD IS DIY, IF YOU CHOOSE TO START IN HYDROPONICS YOU WILL HAVE TO BUILD YOUR OWN SYSTEM, BASED UPON YOUR PARTICULAR BUDGET.
I DO NOT SELL MY HYDROPONIC DESIGNS, I AM PROVIDING ADVICE FREE TO THE COMMUNITY.
    THAT IS ALL.

howzit, your not SH(pat) by chance are you? (a member off another board)
I am currently just have a personal producer license, hopefully the main producer license will work out soon fairly soon.
I have done almost every type of hydroponics, but I have the most experience with med/low pressure aero, and rdwc.
I am currently running a couple setups, I have some clones vegging in 6"rockwool blocks, I have a plant in a 33 gallon trashcan with ezclone misters, nothing to exciting, and another RDWC, I am always building and modifying new setups though, to keep me on my game per say. I just enjoy hydroponics a lot.

I supplement with AC, which acts in controlling the temperature fairly well, and as a dehumidifier, the rule of thumb I go by is 5000btu per 1000 watt light, down here in the southwest but many other variables come into play,
and I run a water chiller to combat high temperatures.

what are you doing these days?

    grow problems

I am doing a two bucket hydroponic grow.
There is no discoloration to the leaves and I have started the 12/12 cycle.
The leaves look like nute lockout almost. Leaves are curling down and in on themselves with some disfiguration.
Bud locations are showing slight darkening tips/blackish
My ph is running 4.5 to 5 and I wondered in my ph might be too low but I've never seen this happen before and it isn't my first grow.
PPM is running 1000 to 1200 which is within the guidelines for the budding cycle and I do have some bud sites forming. I have experienced low yield in the past and figured that it was nute issues because of a lack of a ppm meter. Well I have a ppm meter now.
I have had a timer issue and just replaced the timer with a new one and was wondering could this be a light issue?
Any and all help would be highly appreciated because I need these meds.

The best pictures I could take hope you guys can help.

Hello there, I will be more than happy to help, do you by chance have a yahoo sign in?

Your ph is rather low, I usually set at 5.5 and let slowy drift up.
Lets say you set your ph at 5.5 if the ph drifts down over night into the 4's you probably have a root pathogen. (though sometimes this happens when using organic nutrients as well)

With your ph being so low, several nutrients are become unavaible to the plant.

    http://urbangardenmagazine.com/wp-co...rfect-zone.jpg

But just dont pour ph up in your solution as you will shock the plant, you want to gradually adjust the ph back up to 5.5 over a day period.

I do not use PPM due to the different conversion scales, Do you have an EC reading you can supply me with?
looking at your plants I would give them a 12 hour flush, and start feeding at a lower ec than you are currently using,
can you take some pictures of your root system as well.

Tell me more about what line of nutrients u are using, are you dong bubbler buckets?

It was the ph and it was too low and it started show signs like it was nute lock out but it was just that the ph was too low.
I've fixed the ph to 5.8 to 6 and no lower no higher.
    PPM is running 1150
I did a 12 hour flush before ramping the ph and nutes back up.
My question now is how long will it take for my baby to recover? Like I said I was just getting bud nodes when all this happened. I know the leaves will not recover and new leaf growth will look correct but I was wondering was this grow lost or will it just take some time to recover?
Thanks for all your help and quick response.

DNP - I could REALLY use your advice and some help with plans on going Hydroponic. I'm currently using soil and am ready to take clones before flowering. I'd like to run my next cycle in Hydro though all my experience has always been using High Dollar Soil and Nutes.

    Hydro growing questions

I received my user card in about 6 weeks, but I'm still awaiting my grower's card. My son gave me a closet hydro setup from years ago. I have both MH and HPS lighting. I have a small pump, to pump nutrients into the upper trays (I thought I'd use Rockwool for the medium). But in the box of stuff - there is a small aquarium air pump. Would I use that for anything?

From what I've read, buying clones seems like a great start..I assume the clones would be female and that starting with clones gives me a couple of weeks head start over seeds. If I had 5 plants, could I not make 5 clones before they start flowering?

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

When you get your PPL card, that aquarium pump should be connected to an air-stone with tubing and the air-stone goes into the reservoir of your hydro setup.
The pump to the air-stone runs all the time, the upper tray pump is set to go on and off, depending on the growth stage the plant is in.
What kind/brand of hydro setup do you have?

I have a 400 watt MH and HPS lamp. The fertilizer reservoir has a liquid pump on a timer. It pumps up into 2 trays with rockwool. They drain back into the reservoir. If I can find reasonably priced clones, I think that would be the way to go (versus seeds)> I thouhgt I recently saw $75- $100 for clones - that puts it well out of my price range.
Thanks for the info on the air pump - I didn't recall using one- years ago when I first got this setup. I had a sheriiff K-9 move in next door and that kinda made me back off growing.

What part of the state you in bonus? A few of the producers are selling clones prices depend on a lot of things.but I think the range would be 10.00 to 175.00. That high price would be a plant ready to flower also include nutes and help with info you might need.P.S. you could make 5 clones off one plant depends on what the plant looks like but with only a 400 watt light you'll have a hard time trying to put too many plants under it .
