Legal,
I too make my own compost....leave out the meat and dairy products, fats and such...the meat draws flies while the compost is working....and I have found that critters will dig up your gardens if you have acccidently put some meat in the mix... so be advised...Composting tips

Good luck, in making your compost...

Peace,

plants
fruit vegetables
green plant material and dead plant material
manure from herbavoirs, not dogs cats or anything like that cause they can have parasites in their manure
humus
wet it down with compost teas

compost is about 1 of the best mediums you can give the plants along with alittle npk value its full of microbiology of life, water holding capabilities, its light. ect

legalize_it420_4ever,
You are most welcome....I also use my shredded paper as well...it all goes back to nature...

Thats your call on the Vitamins...but I would not...I try to keep all my additives things that I know what they are for the most part....
